@Pybro ...... Do you have a different version of history or something? Global superpowers like the Chinese and Russians are why the two Koreans are split. It was Russia who armed the communist north dictator and it was China that kept his family in power after the northern army fell. I would bet that those living in the south prefer to live under those conditions then those living in the north!

K2 Black Panther is a tank made by combining the strengths of M1, Leopard, Leclerc and T80U. An all-terrain tank, especially optimized for mountainous terrain. 70% of korea land is mountainous.

The advantage of Korean weapons is that they work well regardless of summer or winter seasons and mountainous terrain.

That's right. The climate in Korea is over 35 degrees Celsius when it's hot and close to minus 20 degrees Celsius when it's cold. It worked well in that climate without any problems. I guarantee you because I served as a K2 tank crew.

Takie moje podsumowanie tej maszyny.Zdecydowałem się na to bo byłem czołgistą.Ciekawa maszyna z potencjałem rozwoju.Zdecydowanie mobilny to jego główna zaleta i druga stawianie zapory tzw dymnej z wykorzystanie wycofania na inną pozycję to jego główna zaleta.Dobre jest tez pochylanie podwozia zwiększa zakres operowania działa jak też broni mniejszego kalibru sprzężonego z działem.Tak powiem szczerze trzeba to dopracować do warunków jakie panują u Nas bo się nie różnimy mentalnie ale geograficznie doś znacznie.Pozdrawiam przyjaciół z Korei:)

One of the best main battle tanks in the world thus far. It can easily cross over waterways, penetrate 800mm of armor & can fire precision round up to 5 miles away. Costs 8million per tank is the only downside due to tech.

I'm a former Korean soldier who personally controlled the K2 MBT shown here. I think it is one of the good weapons, not because it is our country. I hope this weapon will not be a weapon that calls for war, but a weapon to deter war! Poland, fighting! Personally, I don't think there is any MBT that can deal with K2 MBT among the communist camp's MBT. I'm a person who has played against the North Korean army.

The K2 tank is designed to withstand the harsh climate of the Korean peninsula and is a very good MBT that is practical in a large area. It is a step above the T-90 and the old Leopard 2 in terms of specifications and price, and will be the first choice to replace the old tanks in the future. Another big advantage of this tank is that it can be exported relatively freely and counted as a fighting force.

During Leopard 2 and K2 Black Panther test in Norway, K2 tank with S Korean tungsten round was able to penetrate 800mm armor compare to 630mm armor with German tungsten round for Leopard 2. This is kinetic energy penetration thus K2 will be able to penetrate new Russian T90 with Kontackt 5 reactive armor with 800mm kinetic armor protection from over 2km away.

U talk nonsense, both guns are Rheinmetall L55, maybe Norway Leo tanks were Leopard 5 with L44 but I highly doubt that, so this is nonsense, and the best projectiles in the world are USA ones M…very long name and the German DM53 and DM63, so most likely that K2 tanks use DM53 as well or they use some of they own made but this highly unlikely.

@@sickrowstbrow7342 U mean the type 10 is cute compared to the K-2. Type 10 is classified as a light tank when compared to a K-2. They put a weight limit on the type 10 when designing it so the armour is purposefully scaled down. Also the k-2's tracks dont fall off during demos like the type 10. ;)

My grandma is from Busan. I am glad to know her homeland is safe and protected by the South Korean millitary and it's allies.. Yeah the casual person see's South Korean millitary as just leftover "crap" the USA gave them, but the K1a1 and K2 are examples of Korea's technological prowess. They got "crap" and improved it. Don't mind that last part, got a bit mad when some guy kept talking crap about South Korea.
