K20A2 KTuned Heater Core Hardline Delete

In this video we use the KTuned plugs to delete the Heater Core Hardline located on the engine from the back of the head to the thermostat housing. This setup is for those willing to sacrifice there heater core and running heat to the cab of the vehicle. Enjoy!

Is this for the coolant line that wraps over the valve cover breather port and into the throttle body?

This deletes the oem k series cabin heater steal lines. So from the head to the thermostat housing. The cheap way is to just cut the pipe from the thermostat near the head and put a rubber line from the head to that pipe looping the coolant system. This just cleans it up.

hey guys i have a question regarding the heater core delete, am i still able to adjust my Aircon temperature after delete or the aircon will always be at the lowest temperature?

Notijer i would assume you can still adjust the AC temp as the heater core hoses should only be for hot/warm air. Your AC lines would adjust the aircon temp as far as I know.

Did you need sealant for plug or copper washer does the job

I think I used teflon to be safe or pipe dope.

How come you plugged the thermostat? Where are you running a thermostat?

I still have a thermostat. This just deletes my heater core hoses. I have no heat in the car.

Does the z3 have that plug in the back of the head too?

No cause it uses a waterneck bolted to the side of the head.

KING SLOTZ jack the front of the car up, i had a large funnel with adapters to my coolant rad cap located on the ktuned upper water neck, this makes this the highest point in the coolant system. And run it and let the bubbles burp out

@@low-budget-racing I’m sure you could T off somewhere else, I’m not aware of anyone else doing it. That’s probably the best spot since it’s close to the firewall and off to the side of the header

PMGaming101 yes you deleted the hardlines on the engine for the heater core. So no more heat.

Christopher Rogers KTuned specifies K20A, A2 and Z1 heads. Not sure about K24A2 as they have different water passages and necks.

ah yes i read somewhere i wont need the screw plug. so what do i use? is there nothign to cap off on my k24 head? just plug the lower tstat housing?

@@LilV8 there isn't anything to block, just the hole the hardline starts at.
