So basically what i have learned from your channel, is to not buy a K40 but to build my own from scratch. Sound like the hard part for me is gonna be less of the build and more of the programming aspect. I look forward to more of your content.

After seeing this project a while back I had planned on using 2040 for the base so I'd have more height, this video showed me that's not really an option if you want to max your work area. Thanks for videos!

Have been following your videos with great interest, as I purchased a K40 Laser from OM Tech. Haven't seen anything posted in quite sometime. Is everything OK? Have you gotten it put in the case & tested?

Great to see you trying this. I have all the parts and decided to wait to see how your expansion works out. I have the smaller case and still need to design a face plate for my lcd and controls. Keep up the video's! Don't find to many out there doing what you are doing!

2 Years and no finished off K40, I hope it got done and all is well, would love to see it all working finished, ???? I would love to expand my K40 bed area, most I know is not too bad but setting up software to accept it is a bigger bed is something I am unsure about.

I have been procrastinating on my expansion of my second K40. I have all the parts and my K40 has been gutted. I'm so glad I found you Video, I feel a little more motivated to get cracking on finishing it up. Subbed and hope to see what other mods you plan to do.

Does anybody know what happened to this channel? This is apparently the last video he did and it was nine months ago. With Covid makes one wonder did something happen? Just wondering anybody got any ideas what’s going on?

A tip from my solution to controlling X,Y direction - I put limit swtiches on both ends of X and Y (4 in total) then wrote the software to home and it learns from which limit switch closes which way the X and Y go and then inverts to make it fit the desired home corner. It can also detect if X and Y it reversed. So you can't wire it up wrong.

When you guys are 3D printing parts for these mods, what filament material do you use? I see a lot of black but sometimes gray. Also, what 3D printer would you suggest to replicate quality 3D parts? Sure wish I had a neighbor like this guy.
