Ingredients for batter:
1 cup besan (gram flour)
1 cup suji (semolina)
1/2 teaspoon haldi (turmeric powder)
1/2 teaspoon heeng (Asafoetida)
Namak swad anusar (salt to taste)
Paani (water) as needed for batter
Ingredients for topping:
1/2 teaspoon lal mirch powder (red chilli powder)
1/2 teaspoon Dhaniya powder (corainder powder)
1/2 teaspoon namak (normal salt)
1/2 teaspoon kala namak (black salt)
1/2 teaspoon kali mirch (pepper)
1/2 teaspoon amchur (dry mango powder)
1 chhota pyaaz (onion), finely chopped
1 chhoti shimla mirch (capsicum), finely chopped
1 tamatar (tomato), finely chopped
2 hari mirch (green chilies), finely chopped
Tel (oil for cooking)
Cheese is optional
