The great problem that exists in this circuit is, precisely, the fact that there is only a resistor for all five LEDs, wich makes them loose bright when two or more light up; so, if there would be one for each LED, this problem wouldn't show up! So, friend, if you can solve it, please do another video and show it us!

I use it as a signal indicator when setting audio systems . Battery powered in a small box with a xlr connector

Ahh good fun as always! You could always double up the LEDS to make the display APPEAR bigger. Awesome as always!

i love getting these kits from ebay/aliexpress.. but little more than ways to improve my soldering skills and concentration skills. I never actually seem to USE them lol

Ha ha, I don't recall burning myself in recent times but that's probably down to having wrecked skin from all the previous burns

As to audio source, plenty of little BT to 3.5mm or RCA modules available (typically for aux in on older [car] stereos)

My phone does have a usb C to headphone adaptor somewhere, I just need to buy a bunch of them so I always have one to hand

In pin 8 which is the audio input ... I used to have a capacitor of 2.2 uf at 50v. My question is ... what function does this electrolyte capacitor have? I removed them from both inputs because I did stereo. It turns out that when I turned up the volume and the LEDs indicated red ... it generated a distortion in the music ... will it be that those counters fix my problem? ... thanks again friend.

I would need to check the circuit, but in audio applications capacitors are usually there to either eliminate DC from an audio signal or prevent circuitry from affecting the audio input during operation. I suspect the electrolytic was there to meet the current demands of the LEDs

Reminds me of when I used to DJ and the majority of people on before me would awlays have the gain and EQs all wrong, crushing everything in the red... that's not the way is it? :( Grr.
