साहिर लुधियानवी की ये नज़्म कितनी बार भी पढ़ लें जी नहीं भरता। नज़्म का हर एक लफ़्ज़ अगले लफ़्ज़ से बख़ूबी गुँथा हुआ , हर एक मिसरा अगले मिसरे से मिलने को जैसे हाथ बढ़ाता हुआ ..........अल्फ़ाज़ की ऐसी जादूगरी कि बस क्या कहें ? ग़ालिब के शब्दों में .....
आते हैं ग़ैब से ये मज़ामी ख़याल में .....
या फिर अजय सहाब की ज़बानी ......
मेरी ग़ज़लों में तुझसे साहिरी है ,
तुझी से है मेरी जादूबयानी।
ये नज़्म 1945 में लिखी गयी ...तल्ख़ियाँ....में मिलती है ।साहिर ने शायद अपनी पहली मोहब्बत ‘मोहिन्दर’ के लिए लिखी हो, लेकिन उनकी ज़िन्दगी में अमृता प्रीतम का नाम कुछ ऐसे जुड़ा कि ज़ेहेन में बस अमृता का तसव्वुर ही आता है ,लिहाज़ा visuals में साहिर के साथ उन्ही की तस्वीरें हैं ।
हाँ ! एक बात और ... अगर ख़य्याम साहब और यश चोपड़ा साथ न होते तो नज़्म शायद इतनी मक़बूल नहीं हो पाती और एक literary circle में ही पढ़ी और सुनी जाती ।
इस नज़्म का एक और live version,’अल्फ़ाज़ और आवाज़ ‘ की जानिब से साहिर को ख़िराज -ए - अक़ीदत ।
