This is what this song means to me. I didnt know I was suffering from hearing loss & menieres disease for 10, 20 yrs. I dont know. I've hated these fancy hearing aids for 1 month. Discovering blue tooth feature in hearing aids, I'm holding my tablet watching you tube in a fetal position crying. "I can hear the melodies" I didnt know I Iost them. This song use to bring chills to me. I have chills again. So beautiful. Thank you.

Glen Hansard can't apparently sing any tune without giving his whole heart and soul onto it. He can't even help to hide the fact that he is ALWAYS singing every song he sings with absolute passion. What an incredible performer. Irish pride!! ♥️♥️♥️ Eddie Vedder, great, too.

You know that you have made it when your introduction to a song is almost as long as the song itself. Eddie has reached that level.

With all due respect to Glen, how incredible must that have been to sit next to Eddie Vedder, and hear him sing a song that he wrote, with such passion. Don't get any better than that

When Eddie goes for those low notes..... wow. True bass-baritone indeed. Love the imperfect harmonies as well - both of them just singing straight from the heart, with no technical attempts in any way.
@mglenwright096 жыл бұрын
Such a unique, and low, voice, but yet he can still hit his head voice like a boss. One of the better singers in folk rock no doubt.
@ibs21796 жыл бұрын
He struggles reaching those low notes, but he probably just needed to rehearse a bit more. I agree with you saying they were "singing straight from the heart"

I know it's their profession but sometimes it must be so difficult to be up there singing a certain song that makes you ache for the friend you lost some months ago and then Chester after that. It must be the last thing you want to do but you have obligations. Music is healing for us during those so very sad times...I hope that when they sing to us that we are respectful of their loss and appreciate the healing balm of their talent. Perhaps our wild applause is a little healing for them as well. Really enjoyed this one....thank you.

So glad Eddie is still here,we've lost so much talent and to count all the good ones that haven't ever got signed,to still have people coming from those days and still kicking and making music is so inspiring,I just had a chance to at a small venue in a small town in Indiana,haven't had butterflies in 30 years was such a rush and great feeling,they of course went away as soon as I was in front of the mic,and I know,many of you haven't or never probably will hear me,but to those that have and still do,I love you,and I'm still doing it,just an older man now,with the same free will,and passion,and love for people,had I not gotten married to the wrong girl,I would have made it to the big spots,but I wouldn't change a thing,I have the right girl now and my lovely children,I wouldn't mind having that 250,000 that was offered to me,or the 90,000,wow such a shame,and foolish kid I was,thought those offers were gonna be everywhere,still I've enjoyed the ride and the path,and to the youngsters nowadays that are trying,don't give up your dreams and turn down those chances,make your music and have fun,and if you sink or swim enjoy what your doing,somebody else will too.

I don't know you But I want you All the more for that Words fall through me And always fool me And I can't react And games that never amount To more than they're meant Will play themselves out Take this sinking boat and point it home We've still got time Raise your hopeful voice you have a choice You'll make it now Falling slowly, eyes that know me And I can't go back Moods that take me and erase me And I'm painted black You have suffered enough And warred with yourself It's time that you won Take this sinking boat and point it home We've still got time Raise your hopeful voice you have a choice You'll make it now Falling slowly sing your melody I'll sing along
