@@geetraldinha kaceys sadly been basically blacklisted from country radio ever since she released "follow your arrow" years ago, the song didn't sit well with the genres mostly conservative audience. it was never official, but yeah, no station ever really gave her a chance after that. after years of no support from country radio, she still stayed true to her morals, herself, and her artistic integrity, and continued standing up for LGBTQ+ rights in a genre that basically crucified her for it. such a shame they never really supported her because shes an absolute angel and so so talented! golden hour completely changed my life last year and im so happy she won aoty!

Feels good to hear for people, makes her more fans and makes it look like she stands up for a minority group.. all around win for her to dedicate it to the gays. Especially during LGBT month which is when she did it. But was she thinking about gays when writing it? Doubt it.

Rainbow Kacey Musgraves When it rain it pours but you didn't even notice It ain't rainin' anymore, it's hard to breathe when all we know is The struggle of staying above, the rising water line Well the sky is finally open, the rain and wind stopped blowin' But you're stuck out in the same old storm again You hold tight to your umbrella, darlin' I'm just tryin' to tell ya That there's always been a rainbow hangin' over your head If you could see what I see, you'd be blinded by the colours Yellow, red and orange and green, and at least a million others So tie up your bow, take off your coat and take a look around 'Cause the sky is finally open, the rain and wind stopped blown' But you're stuck out in the same old storm again You hold tight to your umbrella, darlin' I'm just tryin' to tell ya That there's always been a rainbow hangin' over your head Oh tie up your bow, take off your coat and take a look around Everything is alright now 'Cause the sky is finally open, the rain and wind stopped blowin' But you're stuck out in the same old storm again Let go of your umbrella, darlin' I'm just tryin' to tell ya That there's always been a rainbow hangin' over your head Yeah there's always been a rainbow hangin' over your head It all be alright

Every time something has gone wrong I said “when it rains it pours” I had to have an emergency gallbladder removal a month later and when I woke up my mom said to me “Every storm runs out of rain” About 6 months after his passing, I came across this song and I just sobbed and sobbed and sobbed and I played it for my mom. Our storm has still yet to run out of rain, but I know my dad is the rainbow hanging over my head and that our day will come soon 🥺

Not me … been following her since I heard and saw her in Hyde Park for the ELO comeback in 2014. On a performance level she is now almost where Alison Krauss has been for so many years. The edge Kacey has is that she also has a big part in her songwriting. Love 'em both.

I’ve had ear for music since a kid as my parents like to say.. I’m an essential worker who works production supplying your local wal marts with food who gets paid handsomely to do what I do and become extremely fortunate in the recent time even with covid amidst all of our lives.. anyways well we are fortunate enough to be able to hear good music while we work at athlete speed to do this job and one long night I heard this song and these lyrics hit home in relation to ever one going through these enduring times.. And I told myself I was gonna find this song and indulge in its delightful art form..Anyways the point of the song is to not have to always hold tight to your umbrella cause eventually the clouds will open up and shed light and wholesomeness to your disadvantage... But if there’s always a rainbow hanging over your head it means you had what it took all along to weather the storm.. so use this gem of a song to relate to your lives guys and change the world and don’t let the world change you..
