Every time I watch Bonkai videos I get sad because of the wasted potential! They could've been great especially with his redemption arc. Ugh they ruined a great otp.

I think I understand why Kai was evil.... TVD should have done an episode about Kai's life or something done could have more understanding of how and why he became like that. We have only had bits and pieces of he personality and he was killed off before we even could explore him. I believe he was good and realized that he was wrong for what he did. Then that's when he started like Bonnie, but when Bonnie left him in the prison world. Who wouldn't be mad.... He sort of figured out that no matter what he do they would always see him as a bad person. We honestly don't know what happened to Kai when he was little. It seems like he had a rough childhood too and daddy issues.... Probably momma issues too but who knows. I think they shouldn't have killed him off just yet.

I really realllyyyyyy hope Kai comes back somehow. Also, I hope Bonnie finds out that Kai almost died for her that can help her cope with pain and maybe she'll save him from the 1903 prison world. Im so sad lol. I really want bonkai to happen.

The fact that Julie never let Bonkai happen is just mind boggling. I hear a bunch of excuses, she must have a bias towards Bonnie. Damon was redeemed so many times for his evil ways. I don't see why they couldn't do the same with Kai. Their chemistry was so believable. I loved how Kai was obssessed with her, he usually dropped subtle hints of being attracted to her. I mean come on, why would they tease us to only end his life!!?? Makes no sense!

This video kills me every single time I watch it. We were so close to getting Bonkai, SO DAMN CLOSE.

The feeling is there, the dreadful feeling. I felt like they could of held up a strong connection. Kai being a smart ass, Bonnie probably laughing at his clever comments. It tore me when Kai tried so hard to gain her trust back, but she just couldn't except it. Unfortunately, Kai dying is also, the end of them ever becoming something, sad face.

The show is fucking ending, and the writers could have done so much with these two. The had an opportunity for them to grow into allies, friends, then lovers. I get so angry at the writers. Love this, made me want to cry, I know I know he was evil and did a lot of messed up things. What about everyone else? Klause is infinity more messed up than him with an ocean of blood behind him, Elijah isn't left behind with his trail of blood, Damon was basically having the town for dinner and abusing minors for kicks in the beginning (still kills here and there), Enzo has blood on his hands too, Stefan was a freaking ripper! Yet as brutal as they are, somehow they keep exonerating them and giving them love. Why not now? Since when is TVD so righteous?

Some people say that in Kai there is no good, and that is right and some people don't like him because he caused a massacre, but if we look back in the period that Kai was sick and Jo made him better giving him her magic, they had a fight, I don't remember exactly, and in that fight he said that he was the defective twin that no one wanted, wich makes me think about the difference their parents made between Kai and Jo because he was a siphoner and that caused HIM a lot of emotional pain..Clearly when he looks at Bonnie he has that seductive and cute at the same time look, he never looked at any tvd female character like that, and stop saying that he is not good bcs he killed his sister in her wedding day, he felt betrayed by Bonnie because she left him there, and yes he betrayed her first but he was a sociopath and people don't change overnight, we clearly saw him trying to change more for bonnie than the others...and when he won the merge with luke, all the feelings and emotions mixed up in his mind and for a sociopath is hard to feel like this, he tried, and as I saw, he didn't really care if people saw that he was trying to change, he wanted Bonnie to see this..I honestly ship Enzo and Bonnie but at the same time I see Bonnie and Kai as a power couple, like the girl that changed his life forever and made him a better person..but no, Julie had to destroy his storyline by killing Jo and that made a lot of people hate him. And not here but I see a lot of people on social media hating on the actor for his character, that is not okay because the character and the actor are completely different and I don't think it was simple for Chris to act like a murderer.

I relate to Kai in terms of trying to be better than the person I believe myself to be, and I admire him (despite the fact that he's a sociopath; we all are to an extent) for trying to prove to Bonnie that there is some good in him. I can't help but lowkey blame Bonnie for Kai turning and killing the Gemini covenant. I mean, if she'd just given him a chance to prove that he was good, and see past all that he had done, he might have been a great asset to them, and Elena wouldn't have been put to sleep. I'm just saaaayin"...
