Generally speaking, Kaijuu = Strange beast. Yes Godzilla qualifies as King Kong but so does Dracula and the Wolfman. The bigger kaijuu like Godzilla are more formally known as Daikaijuu or great strange beasts. In K#8, the kaijuu are typically divided into Honjuu (True Beasts) who are larger, stronge,r and capable of reproduction and Yojuu (Other Beasts) who are typically born from and follow their honjuu.

Kaiju stuff in general is one of my favorite things. Im a huge Gojira fan, I love Pacific Rim too, so I immediately loved this.

This will be a fun one for sure. Very very fun and enjoyable watch, great characters and some very good action. Also, if they keep up the pacing, the ending to S1 might be the greatest season 1 ending/cliffhanger ever lmao Will be lowkey evil but SO so good at the same time :D Can't wait for all the reaction channels to react to it lol

The smaller kaiju are called yoju and the larger ones are called honju.

Nice that you didn't even know about him transforming, I knew about that part. The show is pretty good so far. I like that it's about a 30 year old and not a kid for a change. But I don't like the tiger being there, I'd like that explained. And when he grabbed Ichikawa's leg after opening the bottle it should have snapped his ankle. orz Kaijū just a word for monster in Japanese but we use it in English for big monsters like Godzilla. And kaiju in plural is kaiju.
