My exchange semester is almost over, and it’s time to take a breather in Daejeon before leaving.🥹❤️First, I’m going to tour you around Daejeon by bike to experience the summer vibes.☀️🌷 We got free entry to the National Science Museum, where we explored the exhibits and enjoyed the atmosphere. Next, we continued by bike to Daejeon Expo Park, which also had a science and technology event.🔬🧬To escape the heat, we found ourselves in the arboretum, which was so green and lively compared to February.🌱✨
This week, I’ll also enjoy the famous and renowned 3-day KAIST Taewool Seoklim Festival with my friends.🎉🎶🪩 Most of the performers were KAIST bands, but we also had some K-pop idols. Some top names, such as Jung Soo Min, Jaeman, Changmo, Easykite, Choi Yena, and Fromis_9, gave awesome and unique performances✨💙. Everyone seemed to enjoy the festival, singing along and jumping with the rhythm.💃🥁🎸🎶
Before going to the baseball match, I enjoyed the scenery at the KAIST campus. It was nice to get back to daily activities after an intensive traveling period-going for lunch, hitting the gym, or playing football.🎧🌥️🫧🎀 Taking some rest, recharging, and slowing down for a second was much needed. Campus cats always welcomed us home, looking for snacks or extra pets.🐈🐾🫶
On the next week, we went to watch a baseball match. Baseball is very popular in South Korea, and I totally understand why.⚾️🏏 We were lucky enough to get seats among the supporters of the Hanwha Eagles, the home team.🎉🥳 The atmosphere and cheering were amazing since everyone was so into the game and wore team jerseys. It was so cool that every player had their own cheering song; I even learned one during the 4-hour match.🤣🎤 Enjoying the match and eating fried chicken or other snacks made it a real experience.😋🤩
