One year ago fans said Trocheck was overpaid, Zib was infallible, Panarin wasn’t gonna mesh well with the new head coach, Kakko was about to have a breakout season and Laffy was a bust. I’ll wait and see.

They also said it's a fantasy roster built to excel in the regular season and fall flat on their face in the playoffs. Nothing has changed in that regard.

Losing in the first round to the devils is falling flat, losing to the eventual cup champs in the eastern conference championship is disappointing but hardly falling flat on their faces. My comment was more trying to point out how no one, including myself, has any idea how the upcoming season will turn out. Judging by your comment I’m betting you freak out after a single regular season loss.

Other than penciling in Kakko for 20-25 goals and 50 points, i didn't think any of those. I wasn't crazy about the Quick signing, but that's about all.

Troubas went from full no move clause to partial no trade clause. There is a difference I've learned because of the Goodrow situation. No move includes waivers no trade does not include waivers. All this cap nuance gets a little tricky

My thing is this we didn’t get any better so we are basically running it back and we know that’s not going to work so why not shake things up trade a couple of the top 6 forwards maybe trade a kandre miller we needed to do some thing big but we stood pat

Trading away 2nd and 3rd round picks every year, ie Glenn Sather, is never a good thing for any organization! Its puts immense pressure on nailing your 1st round picks, which i must say is the only thing Drury seems to get right. Othmann reminds me of Jake Guentzel. Maybe he can provide a similar spark for NY that Guentzel did for the Penguins. I also like the Kakko for Zegras rumors. A lot of fans dont like Zegras and think NY needs to het more physical. I disagree. Teams dont have to be extra physical to win cups, ie Colorado, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Tampa. Its about matchups and grit. You win championships 🏆 with your core (Drafted) players, while they are young and in their prime!

I’m a huge Drury fan, and there better be a big trade coming. Choosing to not waste cap space on July 1st? Ok that’s fine. But then you trade for… Reilly Smith? What is he doing? This is the first time that I can’t see Chris Drury’s vision. He needs to make a big trade before the season.
