KALEO is an Icelandic blues/rock band that formed at Mosfellsbær in 2012. It consists of lead vocalist and guitarist JJ Julius Son (Jökull Júlíusson), drummer David Antonsson, bassist Daniel Kristjansson, and lead guitarist Rubin Pollock. They have released two studio albums, Kaleo (2013) and A/B (2016), as well as an EP, Glasshouse (2013). A/B has sold over one million albums worldwide. One of the singles from A/B, "Way Down We Go", was certified platinum in the US and reached number one on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart on 20 August 2016. Kaleo received a Grammy nomination in 2017 for Best Rock Performance for the song "No Good".
JJ Julius Son is currently working on the follow-up to A/B, due out in 2020.

I've worked in Rock radio for 50 years. I've worked thru the original, the covers and now this. This song is exquisite in it's pain and hurt. Overpowering in the explanation of love. And the musicianship ship and vocals are surgical in thier ability to cut to my heart... My feelings. I'm in a small third world country called Wyoming. Dear God.... Please... Let me experience this band live before I die.

This seems like a theme song to a show I haven’t discovered yet this song is a writers inspiration. What a beautiful cover and so deserving of an award. This cover makes a new masterpiece next to the original.

Holy smokes!!! You have NO idea how happy I am to have found this band. I guess I was in the dark cause I had never heard of them until about a month ago. Wow wow wow this guy has an unbelievable voice. It's crazy. You feel this music running through your veins, your heart, soul, everything! Mission accomplished dude :)

Glad u did I found them when they played way down we go at Starbucks in 2009 when A/B was released and man was I hooked I couldn’t believe this blues sounding band was Icelandic !!! I never have gotten tired of their first album and now we have surface sounds and man it does not disappoint !!! 👍🙏🏽👏🏼👏🏼

That's historically incorrect. It was a Cher song. Written by Sonny Bono. Its first ever appearance was in The Sonny Side of Chér. Nancy's version was a cover in her album How Does That Grab You?
