I never thought a day would come where i would say that i liked a movie(Kalki) more than RRR.

Hey Kathy, I've seen comments of Prabhas "becoming Kala-Bhairava, the protector of Kasi", *watch out b4 taking these predictions in* . At the moment he's a Reincarnation of Surya-Putra _(Son of Sun God)_ KARNA of Mahabharata. A Powerful & great warrior, as it's shown in the climax, described by Lord KRISHNA & ASHWATTHAMA _(Amitabh's Character)_ . KARNA's a very Complicated character _(Bad & Good)_ who Fought on the KAURAVAS side _(Antagonists, were 100 brothers, how they were born was interesting)_ along with ASHWATTHAMA in the Mahabharata. Though KARNA was the Oldest Blood-Brother of PANDAVAS side _(Protagonist-ish, coz they grey characters but Mostly good, were only 5 brothers)_ , he was abandoned as a child by his Mother KUNTI _(long story short, She had a BOON to have Children with Whichever Characteristics of the GOD she wished, she used it as a Test while Unmarried and had to abandon KARNA due to fear of NOT GETTING married coz she had a child out of wedlock)_ and didn't know about his blood-relation to the PANDAVAS till almost the beginning of the War. Both factions were Cousins & RELATED to Lord KRISHNA _(is Y he didn't physically fight in war)_ , especially PANDAVAS through his Paternal Aunt KUNTI who's the Mother of "warrior ARJUNA, God INDRA's son" _(Vijay Devarakonda cameo in the Flashback)_ . I'm sceptical about the "Kala-bhairava protector of KASI " angle they showed in the beginning & even giving his name to Prabhas as BHAIRAVA. It may be misdirection to Make his reincarnation of " Warrior KARNA " reveal , as a Surprise/Shock at the end, KARNA fought on the Bad Side , so This may be directors way of Showing a redemption story of KARNA. If you have the time ever ,Read the the Mahabharata & search for the most authentic version, You'll love the Complexities of the Story , charaters, Drama , Battles etc. I'm yet to read it fully too but we've read Chunks of it's stories thru life.

Back story of AMITABH BACHCHAN's character , In MAHABHARAT there were two sides of cousin's (PANDAVAS & KAURAVAS) were fighting and AMITABH BACHCHAN'S character fought from the side of KAURAVAS, his Father who also was fighting from the side of Kauravas was killed by PANDAVAS (they trick him in thinking that his son (AMITABH'S character) is dead and when he was in distress put his weapons down they cut his head off from behind), ,when ASWASTHATAA (AMITABH) came to know about what happened with his dad , he attacked on the Pandavas's camp during the night when everybody was sleeping and killed five of the PANDAVA'S childern thinking they are the PANDAVAS (by crussing them under his feet) and all the other warrers who came trying to protect them. When the PANDAVA'S came to know about it , they went looking for ASHWASTHAMA , when ASHWASTHAMA saw PANDAVA'S he fired BHRAMASTRA , from PANDAVA'S side ARJUN (who we saw in the movie fighting PRABHA'S charcter on the chariot ) fired BHRAMASTRA as well , then lots of devine sages came to stop them saying colliding of two BHRAMASTRA will distroy the whole world , so ARJUN retrived his BHRAMASTRA but ASWASTHAMA(AMITABH) redirected his BHRAMASTRA towards the wome of ARJUNS DAUGHTER IN LAW who was carring the last surviving child of PANDAVAS family (that child thoe born dead but was revived by "LORD KRISHNA" who by the way going to incarnate again as"KALKI") , furivous by his act "LORD KRISHNA" took his GEM from his forehead (AWASTHAMA was born with the gem on his forehead) and cursed him to wandere on earth for 5000 years with his wounded body and his woundes will never heal . And the last thing the reason why AMITABH BACHCHAN'S is a gaint because according to Books people use to be way huge in previous era's and as the era progress people get shorter and shorter.

I'm not a religious guy BUT I got Chills seeing the 'LORD KRISHNA Scene' in the Beginning with Ashwatthama. With the Telugu/Sanskrit Verse BGM , His Stance, Divine Light & Symbolic White Horse Running behind him , his Walk ...Literal Chills . I Thank the the Director for Casting a DARK SKIN coloured actor , cannon to the way KRISHNA actually was described , "As dark as a Rain filled Cloud" , Finally !!! His True Strength & wisdom was shown in just a Few seconds (as described in scriptures & books) of his Physical Defence from Ashwatthama's attacks, he's a great warrior himself. Thank heavens, Krishna vowed not to Physically Fight in the war 😂 coz the factions are related to him. Otherwise it'd have been One sided . Overall, Nag Ashwin & team did a great job. It could've been a Tighter film in the first half.

Kalki is an upcoming incarnation of god vishnu. We hindus believe our lord kalki will come at the end of kaliyug in which we are living.

Ashwatthama, portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan in Kalki 2898 AD, was outstanding. While I am not a fan of his body of work, I was truly in awe of his performance. However, I believe the de-aged Ashwatthama could have been more effective with Abhishek Bachchan in the role instead of relying on subpar visual effects. Hopefully, this is addressed in future films.

If you understand the little bit of Mahabharata, then I suggest you to watch animated movie of same name, otherwise google garu is another option 😅 , any way always wait for your reaction 😊 , great explanation of film by you kudos

Kalki 2898 AD is the pride of Indian Cinema and Telugu Cinema. One word review: MINDBLOWING. Do not miss it at any cost. 💯💯💯 I hope Kalki surpasses every Indian movie produced so far including RRR and becomes the most successful Indian film. Absolutely mindblowing except some unnecessary cringe masala and cringe comedy with Bhairava in the first half. Kamal Haasan part is pure horror. The way they have imagined landscapes, environments, weapons, vehicles, powers, Mahabharata scenes is truly exceptional and spectacular. My one suggestion to Nag Ashwin is to explore the Complex society and the outside world more in depth because on the surface it looks like everyone is doing well enough even though they are starving for food, water, clean oxygen and they have just stuck some neon signs randomly on Indian alleyways and streets because that's how cyberpunk movies do it. Anyone who says it is merely a copy of Star Wars, Dune, Mad Max, MCU deserve to drink Kali's tears lol. Excited for Kalki 2 more than I ever was for Brahmastra 2. Prabhas and Deepika Padukone are good but Amitabh Bachchan is the MVP. Wow. Disha Patani's part is simply waste. Roxxie could have still been used to show Bhairava the luxuries and abundance of the Complex without that cringe song. Also, unnecessary writing mistakes like superhuman Ashwatthama suddenly not being able to lift Sumathi up should not happen. I wish they would give Shree Krishna better look. No yellow angavastram or armor or jewels or mukut. Just a white cloth and a head band makes him look like a Greek hero. Personally I would have loved to see Shree Krishna blue instead of fair-skinned or dark-skinned because that's how we all grew up watching him in all images. I wish they worked on young Ashwatthama's face better because it is honestly bad, looking like a video game character whenever he spoke with large Disney cartoon eyes. Red Chillies is right there! Deserves to be watched atleast twice. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 PS. For non-Indians and Karna (son of Sun God Surya) fans watching this, Karna was not more powerful than Arjuna. Karna is an antagonist and an adharmi in the Mahabharata who was jealous of Arjuna and committed many evil deeds and suffered for his karma and choosing the wrong side against the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Shree Krishna. Period. But he is not a cheeranjeevi (immortal) like Ashwatthama. How has he reborn or reincarnated remains to be seen. Note that according to some, Karna pushing Arjuna's chariot back is a fake story and Ashwatthama surrendered the mani himself.

This was the first movie which went for the comicon. So its not just made for indian audience but also for the global audience who dont know the story. So dont say that if you dont know Mahabaratha then you dont understand the movie. Even im an indian, i dont know nothing about the story. How i dians know the story. Even so many indian cinephiles who knows about the story pointed so many issues in this film. When bahubali came so many critics opinion was its not that good and people got offended. Now Nag aswin made something much better craft than bahubali. Cinephile saying its not that much good. People are offended again. If cinephiles and critics pointed out any issue its probably right. There are issues. So that next coming movies will be more better and better in all aspects. Pointing out the issues was not a bad thing or hate. Its a craft. Making it better is the ultimate for a better movie. So keep your mahabaratha aside. Story have to understand from the movie itself. Its not reading the book and watching the movie.

I posted my review in the old video where my long theory comment was lol. tl;dr here: Loved it. was not as perfect as i had hoped it would be. A few flaws(i ignore bad cgi so that's not even a point worthy of debate) but whatever criticism i give is only constructive and looks to the future with hope rather than to degrade the attempt or the movie or the choices made. Overall 8.5/10
