Excited for this!! Always been a fan of the German movie from the silent era. I think German movies in the 1920s were much ahead of any cinema in the world. Even the cabinet of Dr Caligari is another one of my favourites. Other than its obvious expressionist style it also had a twist ending and can be seen as a basis of the idea that inspired movies like shutter island in the present day

Kalki 2898 AD is the pride of Indian Cinema and Telugu Cinema. One word review: MINDBLOWING. Do not miss it at any cost. 💯💯💯 I hope Kalki surpasses every Indian movie produced so far including RRR and becomes the most successful Indian film. Absolutely mindblowing except some unnecessary cringe masala and cringe comedy with Bhairava in the first half. Kamal Haasan part is pure horror. The way they have imagined landscapes, environments, weapons, vehicles, powers, Mahabharata scenes is truly exceptional and spectacular. My one suggestion to Nag Ashwin is to explore the Complex society and the outside world more in depth because on the surface it looks like everyone is doing well enough even though they are starving for food, water, clean oxygen and they have just stuck some neon signs randomly on Indian alleyways and streets because that's how cyberpunk movies do it. Anyone who says it is merely a copy of Star Wars, Dune, Mad Max, MCU deserve to drink Kali's tears lol. Excited for Kalki 2 more than I ever was for Brahmastra 2. Prabhas and Deepika Padukone are good but Amitabh Bachchan is the MVP. Wow. Disha Patani's part is simply waste. Roxxie could have still been used to show Bhairava the luxuries and abundance of the Complex without that cringe song. Also, unnecessary writing mistakes like superhuman Ashwatthama suddenly not being able to lift Sumathi up should not happen. I wish they would give Shree Krishna better look. No yellow angavastram or armor or jewels or mukut. Just a white cloth and a head band makes him look like a Greek hero. Personally I would have loved to see Shree Krishna blue instead of fair-skinned or dark-skinned because that's how we all grew up watching him in all images. I wish they worked on young Ashwatthama's face better because it is honestly bad, looking like a video game character whenever he spoke with large Disney cartoon eyes. Red Chillies is right there! Deserves to be watched atleast twice. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 PS. For non-Indians and Karna (son of Sun God Surya) fans watching this, Karna was not more powerful than Arjuna. Karna is an antagonist and an adharmi in the Mahabharata who was jealous of Arjuna and committed many evil deeds and suffered for his karma and choosing the wrong side against the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Shree Krishna. Period. But he is not a cheeranjeevi (immortal) like Ashwatthama. How has he reborn or reincarnated remains to be seen. Note that according to some, Karna pushing Arjuna's chariot back is a fake story and Ashwatthama surrendered the mani himself.

It sucks we haven't seen the version with the two other voices in his head. But I've liked what Ryan has done so far despite budget & character licensing issues. I'm hoping with a Disney check, he can do much better.

I'm not a religious guy BUT I got Chills seeing the 'LORD KRISHNA Scene' in the Beginning with Ashwatthama. With the Telugu/Sanskrit Verse BGM , His Stance, Divine Light & Symbolic White Horse Running behind him , his Walk ...Literal Chills . I Thank the the Director for Casting a DARK SKIN coloured actor , cannon to the way KRISHNA actually was described , "As dark as a Rain filled Cloud" , Finally !!! His True Strength & wisdom was shown in just a Few seconds (as described in scriptures & books) of his Physical Defence from Ashwatthama's attacks, he's a great warrior himself. Thank heavens, Krishna vowed not to Physically Fight in the war 😂 coz the factions are related to him. Otherwise it'd have been One sided . Overall, Nag Ashwin & team did a great job. It could've been a Tighter film in the first half.

At the moment he's a Reincarnation of Surya-Putra _(Son of Sun God)_ KARNA of Mahabharata. A Powerful & great warrior, as it's shown in the climax, described by Lord KRISHNA & ASHWATTHAMA _(Amitabh's Character)_ . KARNA's a very Complicated character _(Bad & Good)_ who Fought on the KAURAVAS side _(Antagonists, were 100 brothers, how they were born was interesting)_ along with ASHWATTHAMA in the Mahabharata. Though KARNA was the Oldest Blood-Brother of PANDAVAS side _(Protagonist-ish, coz they grey characters but Mostly good, were only 5 brothers)_ , he was abandoned as a child by his Mother KUNTI _(long story short, She had a BOON to have Children with Whichever Characteristics of the GOD she wished, she used it as a Test while Unmarried and had to abandon KARNA due to fear of NOT GETTING married coz she had a child out of wedlock)_ and didn't know about his blood-relation to the PANDAVAS till almost the beginning of the War. Both factions were Cousins & RELATED to Lord KRISHNA _(is Y he didn't physically fight in war)_ , especially PANDAVAS through his Paternal Aunt KUNTI who's the Mother of "warrior ARJUNA, God INDRA's son" _(Vijay Devarakonda cameo in the Flashback)_ . I'm sceptical about the "Kala-bhairava protector of KASI " angle they showed in the beginning & even giving his name to Prabhas as BHAIRAVA. It may be misdirection to Make his reincarnation of " Warrior KARNA " reveal , as a Surprise/Shock at the end, KARNA fought on the Bad Side , so This may be directors way of Showing a redemption story of KARNA. If you have the time ever ,Read the the Mahabharata & search for the most authentic version, You'll love the Complexities of the Story , charaters, Drama , Battles etc. I'm yet to read it fully too but we've read Chunks of it's stories thru life.

I guess you cant find indian part 1 because it was called hindustani (the Hindi dubbed version) and the original version was called Bharateeyudu. I remember the movie from my childhood quite vividly specially kamal hassan's double role in it and the signature dagger inside his belt. Later movies like the recent Jawan was actually inspired from Indian part 1. It also had some famous songs composed by AR Rahman. It was also famous for introducing an ancient form of martial arts from south India for the first time in an Indian movie. Fair warning: Its quite dated. Even the production value doesn't hold upto modern standards. So you might not enjoy the movie much
