The smoke on stage is a killer for The voice. Here we can see The Beginning with Awesome voice and after a couple of a smoke sessions, Roy stars to force it

iiniestaa He actually can, he can hit some crazy high notes, but they play a very limited set of songs from before The Black Halo.

+iiniestaa Just saying he probably can. A lot of Kam fans can't get over Roy leaving and love to bash on Tommy even though his range is about the same as Khan, though admittedly he tends to sing more in Tenor while Khan was more in-between Low Tenor and High Baritone.

His vibrato in the hights is funny compared to Roy... he is good singer, Roy is like messi, God

Well we will see :). You know for all of you saying Roy should come back did none of you see how badly he lost his voice towards the end? Poor guy wAs humiliated his voice just left him :(

He definitely needs his time out. He did indeed lose his range due to physical burnout. It also looked like he was losing confidence in himself as well which also affects the human voice. I've experienced it myself to an amazing degree. I lost all of my high notes and then regained them all and more as I recovered from my depression.

With age we lose the high notes and win some lower notes in opera we have to switch roles, many tenors sing as baritones

I love his lower register and the deeper timbre he has now. He probably couldn't have pulled off songs like Lost Children of the Universe or Into the Wild the same in 2001 as he can do now. There are lots of high singers in metal - but not enough resonant low voices, imo.

@@kmacgregor6361 He could also sing high like rest of other tenors with their high falsetto based mix. You can tell how he and his idol Geoff Tate (who similarly had a classical training background) sound so alike when they sing in same technique. Roy Khan preferred to have that dark and rounder sound through much of his range.
