Well grilled cheese is stupid hard. Why would you fry a cheese sandwich? Why?! That’s just weird. Use a toasty maker or eat a cheese sandwich, frying the whole thing would ruin both fried bread and a cheese sandwich and a toasty all at the same time. If you don’t have a toasty maker lurking at the back of a cupboard like most people, for some reason, then just use a toaster for the toast then melt some cheese, pour it on one, close it up, then enjoy the absolute worst sandwich experience you’ll ever have because what I just said would suck.

@@bajablast8216Store-bought is a convenient stand-by, but only if you can find a butter-based pastry. Usually it'll be margarine or vegetable oil. And when I take the time I find making it from scratch invariably results in a lighter more layered pastry. PS what confuses me is he doesn't mention the biggest problem with this dish, which is meat juices soaking into the bottom of the pastry during cooking, making it soggy and disgusting. Either you only encase the top and sides, OR you have to do something complicated involving pricking the bottom layer and elevating the whole thing on a grid above the baking sheet.

It's not that hard to make. It's just a lot of steps, a lot of prep, and a lot of time. The beef part isn't complicated. Using pre-made puff pastry makes that much easier. The duxelle is easy to make. This video also left out the crepes, mustard coating, and prosciutto that go between the beef and pastry. It also really helps to wrap and chill each layer as it's added, so it takes a while to make it.

Not so much hard as just technically demanding. It requires pulling together a lot of different skills in the kitchen, along with having your timing on point for an extended period. There's a reason that Ramsey uses it so much with students and contestants on his shows, it's a great sort of "measuring stick" dish. So I guess the "hard" description is only true if you struggle with those skills, but then practice does make perfect 👍

Nah it was actually super simple when I made it. The hardest part is probably butchering the meat to get the perfect cut. Puff pastry is best store bought so that’s out of the question. @@Meowthix naw im gud, There are those who say the heat will kill them all but even if u think about it sanitizer only kills 99% what makes u think heat will kill em all, I have a Mindset if its pink u don't eat if it don't look pink eat. I even once though of eating it rare and searched up if you are even supposed to eat it like that, the results were simple, More Iron for oxygen and Phosphorus for the bones but u essentially double ur chances to fucking Die of E-Coli. This all changes if its a fresh cut straight from the butcher though. In any case to summarize everything we are not even supposed to eat it rare, its something some stupid guy created to make it look and sound fancier so you pay even more for it, because if u think about it what's so gud and fancy of something being undercooked? Just search up "Undercooked meat" and look at the pictures then tell me why they resemble Medium-Rare, Medium and Rare.

My favorite food is pizza or steak or just anything pink and beefy. I made this and couldn’t stand it. I had to of done something wrong. I hope I can make it again and love it. I used a puff pastry too. It just got a little soggy at the bottom and I didn’t like the textures together. I need to try it atleast one more time and be sure I don’t like it. You also have to keep everything as dry as possible in order for the dough to not be soggy at the bottom. So the mushroom paste has to be cooked until almost all the moisture is out of it which bears the risk of it burning. I've tried it myself once but used pork tender loins instead (I'm not a rich man). It tasted amazing but the moisture made the dough not so pleasant. 😅
