Ka-52K is designed to participate in anti-amphibious defense, including destruction of surface ships, tanks, armored and unarmored military equipment, manpower and helicopters of the enemy, to solve tasks of fire support for assault troops during landing on the shore as well as to provide
reconnaissance of targets and targets’ distribution.
Due to the coaxial rotor design Ka-52K demonstrates great flight characteristics, the service ceiling of the helicopter is 5500 m, the hovering ceiling is 4000 m.
It is easy to operate the helicopter from the deck of the ship thanks to the blade-folding mechanism, absence of a tail rotor and a wing console section pivoting mechanism.

Before the ejection of the pilots, a small bomb blows off the rotors. That works simultaneously. It works perfectly. Unlike a US pilots wich would die in such a situation. Have a good day.@@anitathakur9340

Yet India chose the Apache... I admit that mostly, when American helicopters get chosen over Russian ones in the world market, it is because the American sales package is better, not necessarily because the tech is better. By that I mean, the training, spare parts, etc. part of the deal is better than the Russian offer.

That's BS, unlike Apache or Eurocopter, Kamov cannot engage fire mission during night, besides the retractable gear for example is a liability adding weight to the hovercraft and lowering the safety incase of engine failure

@Luke Wilson The AH-64 is a very thin can that the Soviet S-2 MANPADS will knocks down with ease (personal experience from one of the wars from the end of the last millennium). You can make that helicopter useless with a simple burst from any rifle because that helicopter has two side boxes full of electronics unprotected at all. The AH-64 is designed in accordance with the American Doctrine of Warfare, which is based on complete dominance in the airspace, and therefore has a very low probability of surviving in any "difficult" situation compared to Russian helicopters designed as "brawlers".

Ka 52's are getting blown to shit right now in Ukraine the Russians have lost almost 30 of them not that impressive..you'd think they would've learned by now but apparently they're to dumb and stubborn to stop sending any into Ukraine by the time that war ends they're going have lost millions of dollars worth in military equipment that they won't be able to replace

@@florinb5116 Name one combat attack helicopter, that has ejection seats for its pilots/crew. This helicopter doesn't even have a tail rotor (a major flaw of any conventional combat helicopter), it has two rotors for redundancy and it's highly maneuverable even though it's armored. It's a battle-proven combat machine, that saved many lives on the battlefield. Ukraine can only cry, when their pilots plummet to their deaths with their Soviet-ERA Mi-24 Hind helicopters, not knowing what hit them to begin with.

@@johndorian3685 No, KA52 was designed in mid 2000's.It's an more modern design than the Apache that the US has in service, tho. I wouldn't say it's the best helicopter in the world German Eurocopter Tiger is very good.

@@fuldaman1691 The Ka-50 Black Shark helicopter, developed by Kamov Helicopters JSC, carries the Nato codename Hokum A, with Hokum B the two-seat version, Ka-52. And Ka-50 was designed in the 1980s. It is the Soviet technology. Russia does not have the capability to develop anything new.

Honestly, Malaysia should have bought 10 of these as compared to the MD530MG which the Americans have lost over 1000 during the Vietnam War. The Ka-52 would have serve Malaysia well in counter insurgency war and conventional warfare. We don't need to buy Western military equipment as 1. they are damn expensive and 2. are so sensitive and cost huge on maintenance not to mention can be a useless a trash if there is sanctions that country. An Apache cost nearly USD50 million while the KA-52 cost USD15 million. The Ka-52 is rugged and can be bought in huge numbers. The Philippines was recently offered 6 Apaches for USD1.6 billion for just 6....Six units.....s'' ' t......With that money you could buy about 40 Ka-52 plus extra weapons, training, huge spares and more.

Add : Unrivaled automatic hover system for delivery or extraction, including rescue operation. In emergency power failure from 2 engine + 5 hours APU, just glide to nearest landing area. Possible because double rotor system. And yet there's ejection system. Very safe helicopter. Worth to own even without the armament.

The ejection system makes this superior to US designs in my opinion. The US actually built a system identical in function to this for an experimental helicopter but never deployed it in any other. Big mistake.

The host is so humble and great. Reminds me how the US and Russia are the same. Just a bunch of mostly decent people with strong governments looking out for their citizens national interests. Its just a shame geo politics doesn't work like corporations on a purely competitive basis. I suppose if Microsoft had its own army it would probably have a war with Apple.
