fun fact: its not the closing of the nose and ears it's just the drinking of the water. what happens is it disrupts your breathing which is how hiccups occur. Your inhale and exhales are essentially clashing into one another!

I used that same yarn you did for your sweater! I was very unsure and had some "do I look like Shrek?" moments, but it grew on me and was perfect for fall and Thanksgiving, you just gotta give it some time haha

If you end up not liking the cardigan color pattern and want to frog, you can cut the yarn into each separate color and do row by row color changes as you intended in a new one

Hi there, sorry for the simple question but I am very new to granny squares and wanted to know what style you used for the ones you did for the blanket please? Granny squares had to grow on me, wasn't a fan before that much, but something about the way you did yours with the holes not being as big and gappy really appealed to me, so would love to know what you did please?The colour combination is really lovely, good choices! Thanks :)

They look like just normal granny squares to me. If you’re having trouble with the holes being too big, I’d use a smaller crochet hook or try working on your tension. Hope that helps

It seems like she did simple granny squares. If you’re having issue with holes in yours, try a smaller hook, tightening your tension, or doing no chain between the side clusters and only 1 or 2 chains between the corner clusters instead of 2 or 3. I do no chains on the sides and only 1 chain in the corners and it helps everything look less gappy.

Thank you for your suggestions, probably using less chains in between will give me the less gappy look that I want, I'll give that a try! I know my tension is much tighter than the average person so it's not that. Just wanted to find out exactly what she did so I can try to replicate that same look. Obviously it's an easy stitch pattern for her and works up quickly but if it's something you haven't done before it's still tricky until you know how to do do it. I appreciate your help. 😊
