Did this whole bit last year, was absolutely quite out of this world. The weather was great in April. Munnar, Thekkady, Backwaters, Periyar Lake, elephants, Kathakali and Kalaripayattu, Kerala Sadhya meals, Alleppey, Kumarkom holiday… it was a real heavenly experience for us.

Outstanding and mindblowing Kerala vlog !!!!. You have showed us soo much about Kerala...from chai to rasam,saambhar,to tea plantation , the natural view , elephants, monkeysand the dance❤ . I am your fan from Portugal ❤thanks for your love and dedication in all you do in life❤

Great to see you guys are so appreciative of the culture and place. I had been to Munnar, Thekkady, Allapuzha Houseboat, Trivandrum. Gotta say each of these places was an enticing and enriching experience. It is amazing how well keralites have preserved their culture of folk and classical. Even the young singers today are so well versed with the classical aspects. And they're proud of it too. "Katha" meaning "Story", and "Kali" meaning "Play". Kathakali is a blend of dance, music and acting and dramatizes stories, which are mostly adapted from the Indian epics. It is a stylised art form, the four aspects of abhinaya - angika, aharya,vachika, satvika and the nritta, nritya and natya aspects are combined perfectly. The dancer expresses himself through codified hastamudras and facial expressions, closely following the verses(padams) that are sung. In no other dance style is the entire body used so completely as in Kathakali. The technical details cover every part of the body from facial muscles to fingers, eyes, hands and wrists. The facial muscles play an important part. The movement of the eyebrows, the eye-balls and the lower eye-lids as described in the Natya Shastra are not used to such an extent in any other dance style. The weight of the body is on the outer edges of the feet which are slightly bent and curved.
