Agree. Plane was a pretty good.movie, even tho it was like 1 hr and 40 min.., kind of short. When every other movie is CGI, its good to see some good ole fashion action movies.

@illuminator777 Maybe, but most of us lead stressful lives, these kinds of action films which keep it simple are a form of escapism for us. When there's time to relax and meditate, I'd prefer to watch a more meaningful film.

Honestly Mr. Butler is such an excellent actor and produces such quality films. We recently watched several of his movies and loved every single one. Plane, Hunter Killer, Last Seen Alive…. Now if we see a trailer or title and Mr. Butler is in it, we pretty much know we’re going to enjoy it and we add it to our “must watch” list 😊😊

I absolutely love gerard butler, will watch any movie he's a part of. Sat near him on a flight once and told him I was a huge fan, he was the nicest guy you will EVER come across, offered to take a picture with me and my dad, hes a great human and makes amazing movies.

I'm still surprised Gerald Butler hasn't turned out to be a global superstar years ago since 300. Lately all I'm seeing him is old school action movies. While I enjoy his action movies he definitely proven that he has acting chops from dramas to comedies.

It’s just timing. He had a bad movie here or there and it derailed his whole career, not to mention the absolute crap fest that has been movies for the past 10 years, marvel/dc movie after marvel/dc movie. Law abiding citizen is still in my top 10 of all time

He's either not getting the right kind of parts or everything he has made since 300 has ranged from mediocre to piss poor. Yes, he should have been a breakout, but nothing he's done has risen to the level that 300 was. He's settled into being a mid-tier actor doing mid-tier work.

Since 300 he has done Gamer, Rock N Rolla, Law Abiding Citizen, Den of Thieves, The Vanishing, Greenland and now Plane and this? He has a solid track record of being in great movies. He just slipped up doing Gods of Egypt.

What a thoughtful movie. I served in middle east as infantryman. As I get older it hits me more and more how much we are all just people caught up in the middle of our governments own ambitions. I really enjoyed the amount of perspective given in this movie. "We are all the heros in our own story"

I just realize that I LOVE Gerard Butler after watching Plane. I mean, in the entire movie, I feel safe knowing he is there. His action movies are the safe bet. I haven't been disapointed so far. The Fallen series, God of Egypt, Plane, all good action movies.

I follow Jesus for I bet my whole soul's future on Him, and the only God that came to lay down His life for His people, and the only God that said I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father but by Me. So if I knew this movie was adversiting some religion, I would not have went there, and paid my hard working money.

This is why I adore this man!! He is ACTION from the word go, but then can turn around and be a kind caring person and you know it's a movie but he still draws you in! I have loved the Fallen movies, and Greenland has become an absolute favorite. I like the still frame here directly referring to the lady with those piercing eyes in that National Geographic cover back in the 1980s. She had to be talked into it when they wanted to do an update photo decades later. That's badass. Thanks for that homage to that lady and that era, Mr. Butler.

Gerard Butler is one of the best action stars for lower key old school action movies right now, Jason Statham as well. He has charisma and I've enjoyed most of the movies of his that I've seen so far. He's also produced some of the movies too, hope he keeps going!

I was just thinking he’s been in a lot of B movies of recent. Barely a step above the Van Damme/ Segal level. This one does appear to be more mainstream big budget, hope it helps kick him back up to grade A films.

Big Nick from Den of Thieves is a legend. Gerard nailed that character. He plays Big Nick a total maniac yet somehow makes the guy likable. If you haven’t seen it trust me it’s a pretty good movie but Butler’s portrayal of Big Nick is darkly hilarious and great.

Much more than an action movie. The action was great, but the scene I remember the most from that movie was when he breaks down and cry inside his car, after his wife tells him she's leaving him and taking their daughters with her. Such a heart breaking scene. He definitely has acting chops.

I have enjoyed "Plane" so much. And now Gerard give us another wonderful present! Thank you Gerard. I havent even needed to watch the full trailer. I was in just watching Gerard in the screen. He is currently the most reliable actor. I would be so happy if he could keep this pace of 2 movies per year. Liam Neeson was the most reliable actor from 2008-2015 but suddenly he started to decline.

Astagfriullah SHAMELESS HEARTLESS US. they still made a movie related to Afghanistan.After they humiliating lost against taliban . They killed so many innocent afghans and taliban fighters fighting to remove opporesion from their land. I urge Americans to not watch such movies. Hollywood is soldout to the satanic agenda of the west they try to diminish Muslims and have no shame in making such movies. Hurting Muslims sentiments. I urge all Muslims and non Muslims not to watch these movies related to war against Islam they are profiting from such evil actions of USA.

I still regard ‘Angel has fallen’ with Morgan Freeman to be the most underrated non-stop action movie on my list (honestly witnessing the suicide drones for the first time in movies). Honorary mentions👉🏼 Ryan Reynolds in ‘6 underground’ and Mads Mikkelsen in ‘Polar’

6 underground had a great intro, but it felt more like a collection of interesting action scenes that Michael Bay wanted to do and then they wrote a plot around it, not saying as a slight… I think 13 hours was an underrated one as well
