MUCH MUCH respect to your hard work and knowledge! I THOUGHT about changing the clutch pack in my 2012 VW CC but after looking up all the work that’s needed.. I think I’m going to sell it! You make this look EASY but I know it’s because of all the time you have put in doing this over the years! Keep up the great work! ❤

Apart from your mechanics skills, you're a dab hand with the recording and editing your work. Very clear, much respect. Have you tackled a Vauxhall Combo Van, 56 plate 1.3 cdti ? After the most awful job of fitting a new clutch master cylinder to my friends Combo (working upside down bent over the door sill), I have decided to replace the clutch pressure plate, friction plate and slave cylinder but it looks like the subframe has to be dropped to be able to pull the box out. A more difficult job than the later Corsas but I don't think you have a video that includes the sub frame removal, do you? Just out of interest, a mate and me, back in the seventies, had a business, Express Clutch Service, in The New Forest. We would do 4 or five clutches a day, really hard work and oil soaked hair, but cars were much simpler in those days, all rotor arms and ht coils🤣🤣 and asbestos 😨😨. Still keeping my hand in to help mates out but I think I need a heads up on this one. Keep up the great channel, cheers, James.

You make a difficult job look easy! That golf was pretty much same setup as the Passat. Good warning regarding solid flywheel conversion, don't do it. False economy. You can get uprated clutches in dmf configurations from the likes of LUK etc anyway. Have you considered doing clutch packs in dsg gearboxes Kevin or is that just opening a can of worms/complications? On the plus side, the rain's a bit warmer this time of year 😆 excellent work you're a grafter for sure. 💪

Hello, Kevin! I see that this week has already been a good temperature for work in UK. In Kyiv this week it was 25-27°C, which does not often happen in early May. Although even in mid-April we already had around 20°C, however ten years ago it snowed even in early April in Ukraine. Global warming is real:) Thanks for the new video, I’ll make some tea now and watch it! Have a nice weekend!

Top class as always. The stuff you spray from the WD40 pump spray, is it wd40 or another penetrant to get under the nuts/bolts before removing, cheers

WD40. It works every time. I’ll start showing how I go round spraying all nuts and bolts multiple times before I start work on them.

To be honest they’re usually the petrol 1.2 or 1.4. This is a first for me. The 1.6 diesel in that tiny engine compartment.

@@WMCS I have heard that the side top gearbox mount needs to have the hole straight at middle, if its more to 1 side, the entire engine will vibrate a lot and there is no cure to it, back and forth is allowed to have play but left and right need to be spot on.

A lot of the time I do. If I’ve never worked on a particular model. I’ll study the chassis The engine out of the car and the gearbox out of the car.

I had it cut from an engineers shop. It’s a solid stainless steel rod. Inch and half thick. Comes with its own weight.
