I agree. The Jets are coming around. They have a very fast defensive squad that will keep games close and will hopefully continue to allow Wilson to develop. Mind you I'm not a fan. I just appreciate competitive teams, and always want to acknowledge quality performances. Wilson had a good game. The Jets had a good game. The defensive holding call in the 4th was a hold because the ref called it a hold. Whether I agree or not is irrelevant. And I don't ascribe to the notion that one good or bad call is the determinant of a contest. If a team has put themselves in the position in which that is possible then they lost the game before the call was made. Period.

Given that chiefs had lost more total yardage due to penalties AND threw 2 interceptions, the fact remains the jets didn't have what it took to win this game. They were handed far too many opportunities, the chiefs offense played poorly, and the jets should have had a solid point lead, going into the 4th yet they didn't... let's face it, they're still figuring themselves out, they aren't going to go anywhere this season.

Of course…that particular fan base is so predictable: when you lose, always blame the refs. It was a clear and obvious illegal contact penalty. Anyone remotely trying to be objective could see that fact.

13:07 - To be honest the refs don't always call these because the OL had his arms inside the defender, even though he was holding him. It's kind of 50/50. Not as bad as that defensive hold call against Gardner at 13:20. He barely touched him. They were basically running with one another. This ridiculous call ended any chance the Jets had of winning the game and is the kind of penalty that makes you think the NFL is rigged.
