Tim Pool asks Ye to addresses the claim that he's an antisemite. Kanye expresses his frustration that it is antisemitic to claim that a large number of Jews work in finance and the media, despite it being truthful. Pool pushes back slightly and asks West to expand upon what he means. Ye says Jews being in close proximity to power structures isn't a coincidence, and that it isn't just by chance that the last two presidents before Joe Biden had a close Jewish adviser.

That's on Tim. He started the conversation by pointing to a Hill article claiming He was antisemitic. When Ye started to explain his views in response to the article suddenly Tim wanted to tap dance around the issue. That and Tim claiming Ye would have been great for black vote (ironically lumping a demographic into one box) was clearly annoying him. It was obvious from the start Tim wasn't going to let Ye speak his mind and was really just using him for clicks and views. Ye recognised he was being used and left.

Pool wasn't even pushing back really, he was just getting started to sanitize Fuentes by implying he's a reasonable guy for working with a black man. I've been a psych RN for about 6 years. Everytime I see Kanye speaking at length about this stuff, I flash back to being on the other side of the med window from patients with psychotic disorders, listening to the rambling theories, desperately looking for an avenue to either present some reality or end the conversation so I can keeping passing meds. I know, I'm a nurse and I can't diagnose. But it all feels so similar, the tangential speech, the vague phraseology that he thinks expresses clear "proof" of his persecution. And to me I feel so sad that he is being exploited by these charlatans, and that his money and fame actually keep him insulated from getting help.

Psychiatric social worker here, yep. I wouldn't go near diagnosing anyone, but all the signs of a serious disorder are present in Ye, and he is being exploited by creeps and grifters. It won't end well.

I'm a mental health clinician (Peer Specialist and Health Navigator, former Residential Specialist) and I completely agree. He reminds me of some of the people in our program. I write court ordered certification to treatment letters (involuntary meds and treatment, basically) that the doc sends over to the courts and a lot of the people I work with have symptoms exactly like this. 100%. The ways I would describe Kanye are the ways I would articulate what some of my people are exhibiting in a certification. It's pretty dangerous that his untreated mental illness and insane amounts of fame, money, attention, and manipulative people (while he manipulates people himself as well) are all combined. It isn't going to end well unless he gets help and stability.

That’s the thing, Britney didn’t need one. The type of conservatorship she was in is called a probate conservatorship and they are for people who are in a coma, have advanced dementia or a severe intellectual disability which causes them to be unable to feed, clothe, and provide shelter for themselves. So, imo there was some major corruption going on because they’re not for people with mental health problems who can still do their job. There are mental health conservatorships that aren’t as restrictive and no one can mess with your money. I don’t think that’s what that manager was going for though. Not saying Kanye doesn’t need some major help, though

Great discussion. I loved the historical point that Jewish involvement with money was because they were kept out of traditional financial systems. It should also be noted that the Catholic Church treated usury or money lending as a sin. Jews, not being Catholic, could therefore lend money without breaking any religious rules but this also created antipathy because Catholic and Christians who were borrowers didn't like having to pay the money back (but were quite happy to borrow). Now you can understand where this idea of the miserly Jew comes from. From deadbeat Christians who had to borrow.

It cracks me up that Kanye is so offended by being called an antisemite 😆. Urgh, it's so strange to see him like this in the public eye for so long. It's all because he's so powerful and is surrounded by yes men. There's noone to actually push back and actually help him, his ex wife probably did a lot of that. My dad had bipolar 1 which is the same MH condition Kanye has. Seeing these patterns is so familiar but my dad was a lot worse when he wasn't well/not taking his meds (which included lithium). People don't understand mental health enough. I wonder if he'll massively regret all this awful BS he's saying and promoting when he gets back on his meds/comes back to his senses. Maybe this amplifies what he already thought when not manic. Idk
