Don't know if anyone has pointed this out in the comments yet, but I think I would more place this period in the late 1800s. And with using the K in the word Katpital, and making it a game about class structure, I would put this game within a fictional world which is potentially imitating the transitionary period of Tsarist Russia, on the cusp of the Communist uprisings, or if we want to say it's set earlier than the late 19th century, we can say it imitates the revolutionary period in France in the early 19th century. Edit- I'd definitely lean towards the former, since their outfits really seem like a turn of the century thing, 19th to 20th

Love it! Anything more than 0.00 and you're good to go! Also, it's hard to really tell the era, but it actually DOES look like the Victorian era, or maybe even slightly before since Victorian was 1830's-1901 (Queen Victoria's reign). My History degree has been gathering dust for a few years, and without really seeing the GUNS all I could tell is that it is definitely styled past 1804/1805 when the steam train was invented (if I recall from European history 221). Also! It was definitely foppish for WOMEN to have a parasol bc during that time it was very in style for women to have incredibly white skin. Also why skin cancer and lead poisoning went up since it was used heavily in whitening powder.
@RigelOrionBeta2 жыл бұрын
Judging by the theme, it's probably early 1900s. The title screen features Vladimir Lenin, he rose to power in the early 1900s, and the theme is that of class struggle, which was pushed during the socialist revolution in Russia during WWI.

@@flamepunk8683 Depends where your interests lie. Townsends is good for historical cooking and for 18/19th century (mostly early America). Real Crusades History is the best and most accurate I've seen for... well the Crusades, but also that whole era. Not sure what your musical tastes are, but Sabaton (metal) is great with military history and does a lot of lesser known things. Shadiversity and Skallagrim are very popular and do lots of medieval stuff (mostly weapons, if I recall). Lindybeige covers a large amount of different topics/periods. SideQuest is great for a breadth of things, but videos are few and far between.

I think part of the reason people starved during that time period was because the poor people didn't/couldn't garden because they were less educated on such matters because they lived further away from their elders, and they lived in cities, and didn't have the space for a garden aside from maybe a few pots and theft was probably rampant. Further on into the industrial revolution, industry capitalism saved a lot of children from starvation that would have starved in similar circumstances just a few decades earlier. People forget the blessing that is packaged junkfood like canned tomato soup and cheap crackers, or puffed rice coated in chocolate. It's not always the healthiest, but it's better than starving.

According to roman satirist Virgil, the average impoverished Roman, had as his entire possessions on this earth: a chest, a shelf, a small bed, 6 cups, a vase, and an earthen statue. He could be expected to spend the majority of his life at the tavern which served him - cooking at home, as you say, seemed to be right out for them too!

I'm not sure if unscripted is your weakness, or if you were doing this on no sleep. But you seemed like you weren't paying attention to anything. You cant see the pings, you flip throguh the build menu as if you cant see the names of each category. You ignore your actual resource numbers. You just weren't focused on the game at all. You mentioned first impressions, but played like you knew what you were doing, whilst not knowing what you were doing. I'm just not used to such sloppy playing from you, all the while without your usual charm too. I'll be avoiding your stream recordings in future. You kept increasing grain gain and not building a warehouse for it whilst constantly full. You picked he migration law to bring more people in which you then complained about. "I'm at an impasse" you say after finnaly maxxing out your wood supply and being able to do more, but refusing to build a single new building for several days. "I wish there were pings for this" you say after getting a ping about 10 seconds ago. And there were all the times it seemed like you were going to talk about the setting and themes, and you didn't. You don't know about this era of time, and had nothing interesting to say. I never expected you'd be such a bad person to show off this game. Except I guess you show it's lenient.

I would like this game if it wasn't positive about communism Communism is the freaking worst invention of mankind by far Communist propaganda (and by extension communists) does not pass the vibe check
@bodywithoutorgans1722 жыл бұрын
This game is just as critical of communism as it is of industrial capitalism. As it should be. The world is more than ideology, and the movement of the working masses is just as much of a historical tradition as it is a cultural/economic phenomenon. The materialist perspective of Marx accounts for both a critique of capitalism and it's antidotes as they present themselves. You'll see this in any communist literature. Your view is distorted both by propaganda systems and the online left which is more often than not totally detached from the proletarian spirit.
