Can everybody just approve that this is one of the best existing free editing softwares! Edit: I wrote this comment 1 year ago around the time it was good but as of November 2022 it just got worse

OK....this young woman obviously is aware of how complex this tutorial is and is extremely patient and takes it slowly so that she is understood...that is appreciated...thank you very much...still difficult to follow, but she does EVERYTHING to make it a lot easier to stay with it and not get confused or overwhelmed

why you change the interface of the trimming, The original trimming was so easy to use ! Now, I end up with blanks on my video

The freaking split button does not work & moreover the older trimming way was soo much better than this new crappy timeline system.

The older trimming way was much better. Timeline system is not easy to trim video. Bring back the older trimming system 😢😭😭😭

I can trim out the parts I don't want in my final video, but once I export it, all the stuff is still there. I have done everything I could to get rid of the beginning and end, but nothing has worked. You've wasted nearly 3 hours of my time.

I use to use this app with ease. Now it's overly complicated and overwhelming just try to perform a simple trim for a social media post. It's exhausting and I really hope you guys consider switching it back.

If you read the comments here Kapwing we all love your site but almost everyone wants at leas an OPTION of using the old system to trim the video, including myself.

Can we please just to back to the older trimming system. The new one is so unnecessarily confusing and doesn't work properly on mobile.

this video is inaccurate i use the timming feature and put in the time i wanted the video to start and finish and the tool never edited out the other parts of the video 4:55 - 5:10 doesnt work or manually putting in the exact time doesnt seem to trim the video down at all why would i ever use arrow keys to go up and down or a slide bar to trim video when i want to have precision with a trimming tool and i dont want to use the zoom in feature i dont like it this new iteration of the trimming tool is very confusing and not very user friendly , i should be able to figure out how to use the tool on my own just buy opening the edit features i havent used this website in a few months because i spent hours going threw every single little thing on your website and could never figure out how to trim down videos and thats a huge problem i should never be forced to use a youtube training video for a critically important job like trimming down edits

Ahhhh i like the S key (split method). i like that I can easily chop up/out the parts of the video i want removed. This is convenient. Take a look at the video guys. Trimming is still easy without the trim button anymore. Thank you.

trimming the middle part doesnt work. when i try to trim again the whole clip turn white for no reason

Hi. I faced some issues while trying to trim a youtube video: 1. I load the video. Once the images in the timeline appear, the video in the canvas ia a blank space; 2. I trim the end of the video; the part I removed can not be deleted, seeker line is stuck at the end of the video (where I trimmed)

I think people cam find out how to trim. I've been working on a project for 2 weeks its got deleted remade, deleted again and again because i forgot about but then i started working on a project where it was too big i cut and trimmed clips out of the gameplay and i tested to see if it would be upload able. It wasn't. it counts as a extension of the exceeded video. And I don't see anywhere how to make it not like that.

I've personally have been using the software since roughly in the summer last year and the trimming tool was much easier to use then what it is now. Is there a possibility of re-adding the old Trim window back so there's multiple ways of trimming rather then the new interface?

Does this really work on my phone? Because it's so hard to use in my phone and it's pissing me off😂

I have been doing clips from KZfaq vids. I'll use the timing button or the timeline and when I go to export the video -it will still start at the beginning and stay white until the times I chose and the pic will show for that amt of time then go back to white. Instead of just starting when the pic is up.

Definitely a lot of good content but after I've trimmed my video and I attempt to export as MP3, after I've exported and downloaded there is no sound.

please go back to the old trimmer ive been sitting here for 10 minutes trying to figure out how to work this new trimmer?? why does it repeat the part you cut out when you split a part of the video to delete it???

Great Video, only downside video quality tends to go down a little and you cant have a video longer than 7 minutes without spending $20 a month

Cannot Publish until all layers have uploaded. In the meantime, you can continue editing content before publishing." please fix this issue

This app is... questionable I was signed in and I left and came back the next day and my video which I trimmed down was gone everything else was there like wtf plus why can't you make the free thing go to 10 mins instead of 7 like fix this I thought this was going to be my go to free editing app but I'm having thoughts of not using this.

No offense, but the video could have been 1:30. Just a suggestion- but start with the clip on the screen, show how to trim it, then show how to save it. The end. You have 50 non sequitors in here that slow the video down and go way off point.

Kapwing is broken. When I try to trim a longer video down to a few second clip I get the 250MB limit warning which prevents me from exporting it even though it's clearly much less than 250MB. I can load the 11 second sample and export it just fine.

Not a fan of the update at all. It's like Kapwing deliberately made it harder to trim videos with this unnecessary update.

Can only delete one side of video. When trying to delete after part I want to save it turns into 'delete row' whatever that means. Cant export if video is longer than 7 minutes, but doesnt let you clip the video down to a length less than 7 minutes/.

The upgrade made something simple into something useless.:( Too bad it was nice while it lasted.

I dont know if you need to buy the full version in order to trim down videos greater than 6gb, cause that is the issue...if you cant even upload your video for cutting, and it says the video is too big of a file...

I have a video that started as an old VHS tape that was later converted to a DVD I have converted it to an MP4 but because it was a VHS it runs on after the actual video that I want to keep and edit. When the video is longer than 7 minutes, is there a way to clip it in kapwing so it becomes shorter than 7 minutes? I don't have a way to shorten it prior to upload as I am not the creator. There are so many controls and buttons that it is impossible to figure out how to do this. On iphone movies, all I do I slide from both sides to get video I want, and save video. There is no intuitive way to do this on Kapwing without so many complications.
