It's faintly referring to Pandora's box, from Greek mythology. It was a box filled with evils and disease that was released upon the world when it was open, but I think in the song they only use the metaphor as a "box of secrets", not necessarily a box of evils. So, basically, "open up the box and learn my secrets".

Actually, in Greek mythology, Pandora was the first woman on Earth - a creation of Zeus. She was gifted with all sorts of "seductive qualities" and given a box/jar; she was told never to open it. At last, she opens it out of curiousity, and out comes all of the evils of mankind - jealousy, disease, war, etc. The last thing that comes out of the box is Hope.
