Thank you for visiting my KZfaq page. I have written the cinnamon roll and bread recipe separately as asked by some of you to make it easier to follow baking directions but if you want to make both cinnamon rolls and bread loaves together like my video just follow the bread recipe and half dough into two bowls for first rise then make cinnamon filling for one bowl and bread loaves for second bowl (as in video) 😊. Enjoy!
KARA’S FAMOUS CINNAMON ROLL RECIPE
Dry ingredients:
6 cups flour
4 Tbs Instant yeast
1 cup white sugar
4 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients:
1 cup melted butter (or margarine)
4 eggs (beaten)
4 1/2 cups hot water (not boiling water, just hot tap water)
Slowly add another 6 cups flour
Cinnamon roll filling:
2 cups melted butter ( 4 cubes)
2 cups white sugar
4 Tbs cinnamon
Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl, add wet ingredients to dry ingredients, stirring slowly. Slowly add another 6 cups of flour(12 cups total), mixing in between. Tip dough out onto lightly floured kitchen bench and knead 10 minutes, gradually adding 1+ cups flour while kneading to stop dough from getting too sticky. Let rise until double, approximately 1 hour.
Punch dough down and roll out in large rectangle, 1 inch thick. Mix cinnamon roll filling together and brush over dough, then roll up and cut about 1 1/2 inch thick. Place in prepared oiled dishes and let rise until double.
Bake at 360 F for approximately 25 mins.
Take out of oven and put frosting on while hot.
Cream Cheese Frosting:
2 x 8oz block cream cheese (room temperature)
1/2 cup butter (room temperature)
6 cups powdered sugar
3 tsp vanilla
4 Tbs milk
In a medium bowl, cream together the cream cheese and butter until creamy. Mix in the vanilla and milk then gradually stir in the confectioners' sugar. Store in the refrigerator after use.
KARA’S BREAD RECIPE
Dry ingredients:
6 cups flour
4 Tbs Instant yeast
1 cup white sugar
4 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients:
1 cup melted butter (or margarine)
4 eggs (beaten)
4 1/2 cups hot water (not boiling water, just hot tap water)
Add another 6 cups flour
Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl, add wet ingredients to dry ingredients, stirring slowly. Slowly add another 6 cups of flour. Tip dough out onto lightly floured bench and knead for 10 minutes, gradually adding 1+ cups flour while kneading to stop dough getting too sticky. Let rise until double, approximately 1 hour.
Punch dough down and roll out in rectangle the width of bread loaves you are using. Roll up and place in bread tray with seam facing down. Repeat this until you have filled all your trays ( you can get approximately 6 loaves of bread). Let dough rise until double in size. Bake in oven at 370F for approximately 20-25 minutes.
Turn loaves out onto cooling rack and let cool about 30 minutes before slicing.
