Deep fried! Katsu! Tempura! We closely observe a morning at a packed fried food diner that satisfies hungry students with gusto!
This time we visited Ume Komachi, one of the restaurants in Niigata that we have been interested in for a long time.
Located near Niigata University, the restaurant is frequented by many students at lunchtime, and on this particular day, the restaurant was full for a long time.
The restaurant is popular for its hearty fried chicken set meals, daily special set meals, and bento boxes, all of which are inexpensive.
I had the fried bean curd set meal with original sauce, which was delicious in both volume and taste, and it was a wonderful restaurant that left a lasting impression that I would like to return.
*In Niigata Prefecture, katsudon is a bowl of rice topped with pork cutlet and dipped in sauce without eggs.
