Nice reaction! _Karen Girl's_ was a three-girl group formed for performing songs for the anime _Zettai Karen Children_ ('Psychic Squad'; literally 'Absolutely Lovely Children'). This song is from 2008, the band lasted for the duration of the ainme in 2008-2009. Another member of _Karen Girl's_ -- *Ayami Muto* -- was also the member of _Sakura Gakuin_ in 2010-2012 along with the _Babymetal_ girls.

Suzuka-chan was 10 when this came out 😁 Talented since day one

Suzuka at this point had been performing professionally about 4 years. There are videos of her performing with her sister at the Hiroshima School of Acting and there is a video of her performing on stage in a musical. Her family lives in Hiroshima, and Suzuka moved to Tokyo about 8 yo. On Suzuka's 20th birthday (coming of age in Japan) Babymetal performed in concert celebrating her birthday. Sold out of course. It's hard for us "regular" people to understand talent like her's and strong desire she has to perform. We just enjoy it.

This was, arguably, the first domino that led to BABYMETAL’s formation. She came from here to Sakura Gakuin, Koba noticed how insanely talented she was. Moa and Yui audition together for Sakura Gakuin by dancing to this song and, by strange “coincidence” Su’s place in the formation was left vacant.

Yeah, Su has outstanding ears ...in both meanings of the word. She is just 10 years old here so it is before Babymetal. The other 2 are more than a year older but Su has already twice the power in voice and moves ...and in the BABYMETAL version she has already grown to a true queen of the stage... Hope you did not miss the very touching story in comments to your reaction to the BM version of why this song and group was immensely important to Yui. The live show in Yokohama for this song is cool. You can really tell that Su's is a natural-born performer.

I'm so happy you reacted to the original as well. Karen Girl's is very important to BABYMETAL history. SU was in the group, it was YUI's favorite and savior during a tough time and YUI and MOA danced to them for their application to Sakura Gakuin. Makes you think of how important SU is! Another nice reaction. Here is some info in reply to your questions. Su was 10 years old in this 2008 video. The other two girls were Yuika Shima (tallest one) and Ayami Muto who were both 12 at the time. There is a video of them performing live in 2008 at SSA. They were around a year older in their follow up video My Wings (this is where Su got the wings used to represent her in the Babymetal flag). Karen Girl's was dissolved in 2009 after the anime series Zettai Karen Girls finished. Yuika Shima went on to other work and became a well known actress and daytime TV personality. Ayumi Muto and Suzuka went on to become founder members of Sakura Gakunin in 2010, with Ayumi becoming the first class president (leader) of the group for the first two years. Suzuka took over this role once Ayami graduated. Ayami pursued a solo career with a couple of year hiatus to study and improve her English in New Zealand. Su and Ayami are still good friends.

There's yet another version. Yui and Moa's "audition" for Sakura Gakuin.

Koba, the Poducer of Babymetal, knew her by this group and came up with the idea of forming a metal idol group with her in center.

Ayami Muto and Suzuka Nakamoto went on to be the founding members of Sakura Gakuin where Muto was the first Student President for the first 2 years, and Suzuka was the second Student President. The third girl is Yuika, likely left the entertainment industry. Muto is a solo artist and singer/songwriter. There were some photos where Muto was seen supporting Babymetal.
