7:44 that was basically my mom and me as a baby when we moved from India to the USA. I was crying all the way from India to Heathrow and from Heathrow to JFK because of the way the air pressure affects the ears. According to my mom, she had to walk up and down the aisle to comfort me. So consequently I sympathize with the mom here.

I doubt they will let you blare volume up loud enough to drown out screaming. Ear plugs do not work. It only blocks out talking. I once 3.5 decades ago used headphones to block out gum smacking on the bus ( good ol' mid 90's, allowing chewing with mouth open to be cool ), bus driver told me to lower volume. Glad at some point got to drive......

when i was on a plane with my baby sister she was crying all the flyght BUT every passenger on the plane was saing SH SH SSHHHH or DONT CRY SHHH so the helpers came and took her to bathroom and were trying to get her to sleep. It was so sweet of them 😊
