I found it very informative! I especially liked to hear about making your own stencils from hot glue and also #10 the image transfer . I really would like to give that a try as well! Pockets are a cool idea too! Can I please have the cheat sheet about color scheme? I sometimes have issues with what colors to use that are nice together! Thank you for the video!!!

Hi Karen, I just found your video about the Hamburger method and thought that was so great! I really enjoy your enthusiasm and even though I have been an art teacher for ever I learned so much from your teaching. There are so many things and decisions to make while making art and to find a way of breaking it down so that it is understandable is really wonderful. So often we as teachers can't explain it because it tends to be a kind of intuitive thing. But you break it down so it is easy to start. then I am sure that your students use that as a jumping off point and do all kinds of things. You are giving them confidence to put their toe in the water. I taught for a while on an online platform called Outschool and really made that my priority when teaching. I found that they have the ideas they just need to confidence to PLAY! I also would love to do what you do on You tube and I have some ideas for a class from things I taught online before. Watching you really makes me want to try it. I would love to have the color PDF and also that Hamburger one. What state are you in. You are an inspiration.

Love this! What is my favorite part? Everything! You have great ideas and you express them so enthusiastically yet concisely! You pack in so much in each video! By the way the rule of 3's work well in the garden too! Groupings of 3 of the same type of flower or bush look great--so of course it looks great in art!

Hello Karen, yes, I absolutely found this video helpful. I just found you on here & I love, love and did I say love your videos. I have tried a couple of your techniques, they turned out great AND I bought your hamburger system book, which I also love. Thanks for that, too!! I would like to request the cheat sheet mentioned in this video, if you are still offering it. Thank you for everything you do, but I have another request.....you could sell your faces in a form as to where we could collage them to our projects, I'm using a face today , which is Dina Wakleys, only ones I have found so far, that will be my focal point. I cannot draw like you, BUT I can collage and I absolutely love your style. LOL Thanks again for everything !

Hope I'm not too late to ask for the Composition tricks pdf. I enjoyed this video as you broke things down in a way that makes it understandable. I still don't have any confidence, but I'm starting to fee that it doesn't have to "measure up" to anyone's standards, including my own, to be considered art in my personal art journal. You are the best teacher!

Hi Karen, I am currently in Stage 4 lockdown in Melbourne, Australia and what a blessing it has been to find your tutorials!!!!!! I just love your happy, no-fuss approach - it has absolutely inspired me to get into art journaling. I would love a copy of your cheat sheet and the Hamburger cheat sheet if possible? I have a room full of art supplies but until now have lacked the time (mostly) to make a start. Ahhh! I never knew transfers were so easy! I hear "laser transfers" and the word "laser" makes me break out in hives; I'm like, oh no, too hard, must be too hard...so your explanation was a HUGE help..as well as the homemade glue gun stencils- THAT is genius. Because stencils are pricey when you're on a budget! Thank you so much Karen, for being so incredibly generous with your knowledge and your talent. AND I'd love the pdf from today!
