US Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stormed out of a Thursday press briefing after ignoring persistent calls from an African journalist questioning why he wasn't being called on.
Today News Africa journalist Simon Ateba and Jean-Pierre have continued their public spat in yet another incident between the two.
Ateba attempted to question National Security Council spokesman John Kirby about the arrival of Angola’s President to the White House.
His questions went unanswered, prompting him to vent his frustration as Jean-Pierre left the briefing.
"It is so surprising that you don't take-you are receiving an African leader, but you can't take a question from an African journalist,” Ateba said.
Other reporters have also had encounters with Jean-Pierre that led to frustration.
In October, New York Post journalist Steven Nelson called out to the US Press Secretary saying he had been ignored for roughly “two seasons,” he said.
