He’d rather sit on the wing of a plane as it does loops than a normal bungee jump? Karl’s logic. Don’t forget Karl covers a lot more of the US in the Moaning of Life, pencil that in your diary folks👍

In/on a plane, you will never feel that free falling acceleration knot in your stomach. I have vertigo, get really nauseous when looking down from a high place and would never do a bungee. Have parachuted out of an airplane though, where you have no feeling of falling, since the forward momentum of flying will gradually turn into downwards momentum and there is no eerie feeling of acceleration/falling, just floating. The worst bit was stepping out of an airplane into nothingness.

The M6 is like the UKs Route 66. Lined with beautiful KFC drive-throughs, a Starbucks every 8 metres, trucks transporting Lithuanian goat milk to Wigan and miles and miles of bland grey nothing. It really does sum up the whole experience of the UK. 57% of the people who drive on the M6 purposefully drive onto the opposite lanes and straight into a bollard to just end it all. It has the lowest survival rate of any stretch of road on earth and it's all down to spontaneous driver suicides.

The good part of the M6 IMO is from J36 (Windermere/Lake District) to J40 (Penrith/northern Lake District/north Pennines).I always enjoy driving through the valley between the Shap fells and the Howgill fells, followed by the climb to Shap summit with a panorama of the eastern Lake District fells to the west and the northern Pennines to the east. The rest of it is a slog that has to be endured if you are doing a routine/functional journey, it is the headquarters of the centre lane ownership club and the join the motorway with free flowing traffic at a maximum speed of 40 mph society.

Spencer talks about Glee clubs at high school, "....there were too many catty bitches around...." - and then there were the girls, right, Spencer? 👍🤣👍 You two should also bear in mind that Karl's just a typical Mancunian and they're prone to think that anything south of Birmingham is akin to being in the south of France and anything west of Blackpool is like being in California. As someone who's lived most of his life in the northwest of England ( mostly in Greater Manchester and Lancashire ) as well as having spent several years in western Canada and in northern California I know through personal experience what I'm talking about. Most of what we glean about the U.S.A. and Canada here in the U.K. we get from our telly-boxes and when confronted with the realities of what it's like to be there by seeing such things as those that Karl's experiencing it comes as something of a surprise when we actually visit the U.S.A.

Well us Brits being Brits, can’t say there’s anything really appealing about the M6 other than the knowledge that you’ll end up somewhere decent by going on it. That’s certainly one thing American highways have over our motorways, your highways have character everywhere you stop on it, little towns full of hospitable old folks, our motorways, utilitarian featureless means of getting from A to a distant B and occasionally you’ll see something interesting in the distance, or drive over a cool bridge, like the M6 as an example has a gigantic bridge over the Shipping Canal between Warrington and Manchester. Or the M5 with its Severn River Crossing over to Wales, or the Queen Elizabeth Bridge on the M25 (although more often than not, it’s rammed with heavy traffic).

another word you can use instead of awesome would be mint, its how people in the UK say they llike somthing/think somthing is cool. Can also be used in other ways , for example if someone is attracted to another they might say 'there mint' as in there hot😂
