Saw her about a month ago. She's still amazing. One of the most under-rated talents ever.

Absolutely true, crystal clear. I have been in love from afar with Karla for almost 40 years, ever since I met her at a little coffee house open mic in LA in the late 80s. Ever since I get speechless every time I hear her sing (then I start singing harmony, under my breath :)
@kinkle_Z5 жыл бұрын
I first discovered her in Solana Beach...I pulled her album out of a trash can in 1982, took it back to my beach house, put it on my turntable, and knew....damn! that was it!

She melts me like John Denver and James Taylor. Gives me chills. I know her voice from million miles away.

Karla is just as awesome as she was 35 years before this performance. I have seen her twice live and have loved her timeless music and angelic voice for a long time. She recorded this song with James Taylor as the accompanying vocalist. Pure beauty.

If angels sing, she shares her voice with them. Sweet as it gets.

Hang in there. Sometimes, when you are not looking, you find, or it finds you. If you do find love, trust and hang on for dear life for the road is rocky and the path full of stumbling blocks.

I too love this song that holds me but the one who highly holds me is Jesus Christ in Jesus Christ loves this girl and Mike when I get to go to heaven I know I'll be able to hear her sing it and all her other beautiful gifts that God gave her wicked God Jesus Christ songs of Glory and the honor and the praise

listening to this and thinking of friends and family gone on has always affected me...She played this for a small group of College Radio people in Atlanta in '76. Mac Mcanally was there also. He jammed for us in the elevator for about an hour. Seeing him and her in a small group when we were all so young was magical. Mac was 19 and the rest of us were in our 20s....Karla was 25.

She's not underrated. Everybody here seems to like her. I do. She had the unfortunate circumstance of being a female singer song writer at the same time as carly simon, joni mitchell and carole king. She appears highly rated by people who have heard her sing.

I've known Karla since I was 17 (40 years). The water is clearly "wide" and it takes much effort to cross the waters to join with someone else. There are storms even if we are in the boat together and we all have to remain focussed on the "lighthouse" or "the North Star" to remain on course.

The water is wide I can't cross over And neither have I wings to fly Build me a boat That can carry two And both shall row, my love and I There is a ship And she sails the sea She's loaded deep As deep can be But not so deep As the love I'm in I know not how I sink or swim Oh love is handsome And love is fine The sweetest flower When first it's new But love grows old And waxes cold And fades away like Summer dew Build me a boat That can carry two And both shall row, my love and I And both shall row, my love and I
