Idk ..karmas limited by the need to walk up still; champs like Syndra viktor and orriana have much better catch or team fight than just a slow and a timed root.. and if she goes top with the new MR items good luck.

as a mage she is kinda meh late game, same as a support, that's why they buffed her ratios, but watching this game I think it doesnt really help that much

Well, Karma was problematic mainly due to her R+E spam with Shurelya's, but since this item lost its passive component Karma was struggling. This along with reduced amount of ability haste in items in general, with more AP and less HP in enchanter items made her very weak. IMO The buff was justified.

Zilean's been op for years but only like 2 people play him

@@cashbag yeah but honestly this season zilean feels the worst its been in many years. Lack of good cdr items along with stormsurge and cyclosword makes him in a tough spot rn.

@@BigMac4459as an Ivern mit Player i agree. He is giga broken af. Especially this season. Staph of flow water is even better and dawncore, while it can not be bought by supports is easily reached as a 4th item on midlane enchanters, because the income is so high in comparison. And you reach that Gold really easily, because ivern is incredibly safe in lane.

Basically, Pekinwoof is a great player, but even while fed and ahead he struggled closing out this game as Karma vs Veigo and his team were on the verge of losing multiple times. (plus did eventually lose) Karma is just very risky and squishy, she does not have any get out of jail-cards like a dash and her shields feel paper-thin this season considering damage is so high. She might be able to do damage with the new buffs, but she'll still get run down and blown up like in this video. Plus not a single tank in this vid, which have broken MR items that can counter ap pretty well.

You need to understand this is pbe norms so game quality is extremely low. The viego clearly was good and zilean as well. On our side we have my fans playing from other regions with 150 or high ping playing fun builds like nashors tooth xin. I would never use this game as a comparison of champions, just focus on the buffs coming and know that in games with even matchmaking Karma will in my eyes be great

@@PekinWoof Fair enough! :) Just to clarify: I was not drawing any conclusions on who played better ot worse. I was simply pointing out the definitions of "broken" and "overpowered" in lol tend to be missused by players. I don't think those Karma buffs are op if you consider how much stuff other champs have by simply existing (viego, yone, ...). It is much more problematic to overload a char than to overpower it.

@@PekinWoof I understand it is PBE and that ranks are all over the place, however I feel like this still highlights Karma's problem as a champion and why the buffs won't necessarily make her as OP as people are thinking. There is a huge reliance on RQ to do damage, W is not reliable as a source of damage, and Karma needs to take risks to poke in a meta that is full of high damage and mobility. When Karma has been strong it's usually her enchanter kit, because it's a thousand times safer to press RE from the backline then to spam RQ hoping you'll not get one-shot or hit the enemy tank. As shown in your video, you got blown up several times once Viego got his items by mid to late-game. And it's not just your video I'm keeping an eye, Prophet Malzahar and Body also uploaded their games regarding Karma and exhibited a lot of the same issues. I respect your pov, but I won't be surprised at all if these buffs are not going to solve Karma's main issues as a mid-laner.

Max level Morgana Q roots for 3s, max level Karma W roots for 2s(3.25 if empowered). I imagine it has to do with fighting. In a fight, a bigger shield is more useful than a longer single-target root.

It's because people mostly don't use W for the root. They mainly uses it for the empowered heal. Thus maxing E gives more value since it does reduce the cd and increase the shield value which is better in teamfight/helping allies. Plus that level 1 W with R already root like 2s I believe so it's not needed to max it second.

Maxing Q>W>E can be useful for insta two shot in squishies and more DMG in 1v1 fights with other classes. Depending what the team needs.

Malignance + Mandate/Horizon feels really good, you just play at max range, trying to hit squishies or a lot of people in teamfights.Tho your damage feels really mid If you don't Snowball Rylais doesn't work, tho. Her q already slows so the effect is useless

I think you may need to look over the video again. Pekinwoof struggled outside of lane with Karma. Karma is still very vulnerable by being immobile and gets blown up despite the shield. Viego killed her multiple times, even 1v9'd her team. She does well against other immobile mages like Hwei, but she sucks against assassins, fighters and tanks who either have superior mobility or can shrug off her damage with the new MR items.

She got reworked in WR, bc her mantra was awkward to use on mobile devices. She was supposed to get a similar rework on PC, since we could see her WR's passive implemented into champion info in League's client, but in the end the devs have decided that this will kill her uniqueness. And honestly I'm glad that they haven't done that, since WR's Karma is even more problematic to balance and her passive stacking doesn't feel good.
