Jack was arguably the best best bass player in rock but he never really got enough credit for his voice. He had very good range,a great vibrato and marvelous, rythmic phrasing. RIP Jack.you are greatly missed by the music world. What a talent !

I LOVED his voice when I was 13 in 1969 and I love his voice now, looking back in 2023. RIP, Jack Bruce.

I saw Jack Bruce live, in small intimate clubs over the years. As you can see here, he continued on way, way, way beyond Cream. I like the use of the organ here. This is some kind of magic. Great to have these recordings. 👍👍

Jack was an amazing bassist, some real chestnuts here. I saw Jack live in Chicago, in I believe 1968, with the Cream, a concert like no other. In my limited Hungarian I say, Igen!!!

Kofi Baker on drums? Wow! A great year for Jack Bruce. His solo album, Question Of Time released. Around that time- you could buy his signature Warwick bass with the Jack Bruce white lettering on the body in Los Angeles I recall. Should have purchased it. Around the same time I saw him at The Strand in Redondo Beach, California with Ginger on drums. He plowed into me as I sat on a barstool while running up to the stage, bass in hand- wireless attached- and he had the same outfit on- I can still recall the feel of his gray, silk jacket. At another LA club I met album guitarist Jimmy Ripp-who was doing a solo act. We talked about Jack. So- thank you for posting this historic and timeless Jack Bruce video.

Jack seems to be getting quite loaded at the beginning maybe to get in the Zone. The Band seem unrehearsed but make a fair go of it under the circumstances. Me and my mates were lucky enough to spend a couple of hours with Jack backstage at a solo show around this time, (unexpectedly playing Piano only, although he had one of his Warwick Bass's with him. He handed it to us after showing us the L.E.D.s or "Runway Lights" as he called them that ran along the neck. He also downed a half~bottle of Brandy and regaled us in conversation while he signed L.P's for people. He was very nice to us, even directed us to the aftershow Catering ~ we got fed!

His face looks a bit puffy during this era, probably from drinking so much. That said, I always thought he was very hot.

Don't think I've seen this one before? A serious Jack tour de force. Haha, its fucking amazing. I'd love a rip for my motor. I'd be giving it Jack bass impressions on the A1. Bit dangerous actually.

Jack has written some of the greats , he was the first bassplayer to really rip it up ( skillfully ) , classically trained his understanding of music is greater than all the 60's " greats " combined . Does anyone then or now have a stronger clearer voice than Jack ????? He inspired a decade of up and coming bassplayers and brought an appreciation of Jazz to many of us BUT , Jack could not gear down enough to play the " Blues " . no Willie Dixon .
