I love the economy of motion. He’s barely moving the wheel, no stabs of lock, no spills into oversteer, just a nice smooth flow

Wow. It doesn't even make sense how fast pro drivers are in comparison. Went on an BMW M4 experience day at Oulton once, did my 15 minutes thinking I was top bollocks, then they put you in the same car with a pro driver. I literally could not believe how fast he was. Steve Sutcliffe is such a legend. He was much more perceptive and awake than Pizzonia.

Nice footage. Sounds like Karun is being trailed by an old Routemaster bus, with the conductor (remember them?) tinging the bell cord to signal to the driver to get going. "Any more fares please?"

Gorgeous cars, love the ethos and the fact they seem to be out-Lotusing Lotus. But no manual box means no purchase by me.

Pity you won’t consider it. It’s a cracking car, and the DCT just focuses the mind wonderfully. I came out of a manual sports car, loved it, but the DCT has turned out to be just as engaging. And much faster…

@@simonng2077 just as engaging? Interesting. I’m sure it’s faster and I’m sure the car is wonderful but to my mind a small, light, simple sports car has to be a manual. It’s not about speed, it’s about the mechanical interaction, the perfect heel/toe down shift, Rev matching. I’m sure I’m in the minority! Auto or DCT would suit me fine for a family car or cruiser or even a van. 👍

@@baronvonteuchter1412 I love the engagement of a manual too. Heel and toe shifting, etc. Of course each to his own, but I find it just an engaging to drive, just in a very different way. I guess I’m suggesting you should give it a try before writing it off. But of course, I perfectly respect your preference for old school driving. And I understand it.
