Born and raised BR here; my entire family swears by Kary’s roux and recommends it to anyone who doesn't want to or can't make their own roux.

Just purchased 9 jars of Kary’s Roux ! Hope it’s as good as it look 👀. I hate making Roux but I make a lot of Gumbo in the fall and winter for friends and family.

I use jar roux. Made gumbo last thursday and again today. Wife loves my gumbo

The only roux I use is karys . If I can't find it I will just cook my own roux.

He said he used half the jar of roux but, he didn't say how much water he used. How much water was used?

I would have added the whole jar of roux. that was not good instructions for someone who likes gumbo but has never made it

Hi Lisa! For the amount of water and meat that we had, we didn't want to add the whole jar, but you can definitely add more roux if you prefer a thicker gumbo. If you have any questions on the recipe, please let us know. We have more videos and recipes to follow. Thank you!

Adding the entire jar is a horrible idea unless you plan on adding a lot more water.... ask me how I know
