Tracing a favorite corridor restaurant's history back to its roots starting in Chicago, from there to Oakland and of course the Pleasant Hill restaurant and the beloved "Hot Dog Lady"!

My wife and I occasionally go to the Caspars on Foothill in Hayward and we’re always happy. For me, the Hayward locations hold a special place in my heart because my parents had been going to the C street location since before I was born and I’m now 60.

Went to the Caspers on Newell Hill in Walnut Creek, and the service was friendly and fast. Great place to eat and their hotdogs are always tasty.

Worked for the Pleasant Hill Police Department in the mid 90’s and went to Casper’s on Contra Costa almost daily at the beginning of my shift. I knew Dolores and the clan very well. Two Casper cheese dogs was my order ! Now I live out of state but luckily the local grocery store sells them. Always gotta steam the weiners and buns to be authentic !

Great video! Kasper's with a "K" is the original and still the best...100% beef quarter pounder FTW! I'm thankful that the MacArthur location is close to my house and still open after all these years. 😋

I live in Texas now so unless I come out there I'm screwed. I tried ordering online but ever since COVID they stopped doing that too. I was buying in Colorado when I lived there Safeway sold them. If I'm not mistaken Safeway sells in the bay area. You can steam em at home. But it's just not the same as going to spot and getting em in that white wax paper ready to go.
