I think one of these guys was my Command Sergeant Major in the US Army infantry.

I’ve liked Kasrkin ever since I first used them in the first DOW. I can’t even count how many times these units saved my bases and crushed enemy positions. They’re so reliable that they make up the infantry element of my personal strategy. The Iron Fist. No infantry in the game could withstand a fusillade of hellgun fire from a squad or two of these exceptional troops. If I ever finish my army and find somebody to play a game with I’d like to translate that strategy to the table.

Love how you "lored away" the size of the new models. It makes sense, seeing as they're the elite. They look great.

I've once heard in a lecture by a German paratrooper (IIRC). One day, his group got into a firefight with militants, and the fight stalemated, so they called for support. Twenty minutes later a helicopter with a KSK team arrived. Another five minutes later, there were no militants anymore.

One of my first 40k memories from when I got started is a Kasrkin seeing a daemon manifest into material space in front of him and without a single shred of hesitation charging at the damn thing not running away not even shooting at it no he ran at a daemon and not just any daemon but a powerful one. He was also instantly killed but it left an impression.

That Cadia stands bit at the end there was incredible. As grimdark as 40k is the thing I love the most is the utter hubris and sheer defiance of not buckling to adversity. You face it, with a grin and teeth bared, and fight until you win, or lay battered and broken, still spitting defiance in the face of those who may dare oppose your will!

Used a platoon of these boys earlier in storming a forward op base of blood ravens in dawn of war dark crusade... The engagement just lasted 2 minutes.... Epic

I am what most would a casual 40K fan. I don't follow the lore. Ive only read one 40K book; Fire Warrior. I don't fully understand the significance of Cadia. What I do know, is that, in the story, when you said, "Cadia stands," I got goosebumps.
