This was my lab song. I was working alone in a dark and cold lab until midnight while working on my thesis. It was winter and snowy everywhere. I was listening to this out loud, it was creepy. But this song kinda made me feel so feminine and such a badass. So it helped me to get through all of it. It was a tough time. Thank you Kat!

To me this song is about losing virginity. She says her "garden" is "untouched of sin." But there is temptation to to lose it. The video makes references to the garden of Eden with the snakes and temptation and shit.. "My roots been craving lately" she wants this guy. Whatever. I could be wrong, but that was my interpretation of it. Kat is a great artist and her songs are amazing.

This is the most obvious interpretation, with all the vocal intonations and eye contact in the video...but lets go deeper a bit, this also my have a spiritual subconstruct ...her garden may just as well be her heart (her soul) that is still beautiful, and she invites the devil in, because ...why not...all he success and all the money are also very desirable. All the black dress and crown and the bed o roses may symbolize she is ready to ``marry`` the fallen one for the ``riches`` of this world.... If this seems far fetched...try to listen and watch her video -The High-..it is most illuminating on this subject. Just remember that an artist after the signing of the contract with a label or producer it is contractually obliged to perform the music that the label produces for the artist...not as much originals form the artist... This is easy to observe in many artists career ``evolution``...they start with beautiful original songs, joyful, or sad but full of real meaning for the artist...and after the `deal` they get in a dark zone...Rihanna, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Ariana, and so on. BUT, I just wish I am mistaken and nothing of what I wrote would be true.

This song is both beautiful and powerful. My interpretation of it is that it's a metaphorical style lyrics, referring to virginity loss. It reopens up my mental imaginary of what it was like to lose my virginity years ago. Its states the feeling of wanting to give it to him yet reminding him I have been untainted. My garden's wide of daisy's and it's untouched complete. My root's been craving lately To soak in your diamonds Digging, you want it. :)

Had a friend introduce me to Kat Dahlia’s music about a week ago. This was the first track I heard and it is by far my favourite. Loved the feel and the voice work she does, really interesting and different for me. Once I learned the lyrics I realised how sexy it was and that only added to it for me. Absolutely brilliant song from an artist I wish I had discovered sooner!

Kat Dahlia is a true story teller/ song writer, she isn't referencing herself in this song. It's about money hungry woman. Listen to the lyrics carefully before you make assumptions about her. She hasn't changed, she stays true to herself, has an amazing/unique voice I would die for, and very talented. By the way her album is on point!! Listen to it everyday, there isn't one song I dislike. Finally some real music!!!!
