Bhavna Limbachia (Rana) revealed that she actually convinced producers to kill off Rana when she decided to leave Corrie. She said: "I felt that if they were to be separated, they had to be torn apart and it couldn’t have been their decision. The only way to go was if Rana were to die. Rana would never leave Kate, ever."

Can’t say I was ever a Kana fan but last night was still sad. Maybe Kate and Sophie can break the Corrie lesbian curse in the future.

Please no, 1/ I'm tire of seeing the lesbians couples being recycled. 2/ How about a new hot intelligent patient love interest for Sophie (or maybe Sian being back) ? I just don't want to see her kneeling before a Kate grieving for her dead "soulmate". Friendship suits Sophie and Kate just fine.

Wow, what a tragic death to Rana. To Imran's sister and Kate's future wife. May rest to peace to Rana for always taking care of Kate. I feel bad for Kate because she married to Rana, but then Rana died. Words cannot describe it for losing a future wife.

If the actress was going to leave the series, the best thing would have been for the two characters to separate as well as sophie and sian they ended up bad but alive (sophie finished her wedding day) so it would have happened with her and NOT KILL THEM but the "" "" good "" "" is that Kate is alone for sure the forward will put another love interest

How disappointing.. I love how right when the gxg storyline is at its peak or is actually starting to play out after decades of waiting (*coughs* clexa *coughs*) , they're dead.. Its a good thing i stopped expecting much from these storylines ever since then..

Kate is responsible for ranas death. She had her friend come and that is why she got killed. She was good although not happy with z but alive good and with her she is dead. I wish Kate is dead too.
