In case anyone was wondering, transvaginal mesh isn't a condition you get, it's something that used to be implanted to fix a problem you have. It's an artificial mesh put in place to help support weakened vaginal or bladder tissue. It was used to treat pelvic organ prolapse (*do not* image search that) and urinary incontinence (sometimes side effects of childbirth). Transvaginal mesh is no longer allowed to be used, because the FDA found the potential health benefits did not outweigh the risks (pieces of the mesh coming loose and migrating in the body mainly, although the mesh also inhibited the body from naturally repairing the muscle tissue).
