I literally can't stop stitching! Today, I start a new project using thrifted threads, fabric and embroidery. This will be a random series that just embraces the joy of making and stitching. I hope you can join and stitch along too! Sincerely, Kate

Thank you Kate for your encouragement! I like to have more than one project in the works too and I like to add and embellish as I go. I couldn't get started when I thought I had to baste or pin everything down before I started stitching like I saw other people doing! When I just started placing things and stitching as I went I found such freedom and joy in the creative process. Thank you for giving us permission to do that! Love your color selections and stitching. Don't ever stop!!!! ❤ I live in the US in California.

You’re FEARLESS ❣️🥰 Orange & pink is one of my favorite combinations. Pick a pile of pink🤣. It’s Memorial Day weekend. (Honoring fallen soldiers 🙏) It’s officially the beginning of summer for most states. (It’s always summer n Florida 😎)Boating, barbecue & hanging with family & friends. I thread 3 needles now, run them through a little beeswax so they don’t tangle in the pin cushion 🥰 Hope you do a little video of your Sewing Basket treasures 😁🤗💐

I enjoy watching your videos. And I like seeing you start your projects. The colors are beautiful! Wish I could go to an Op Shop. The treasures are so wonderful. I don't find such good things where I live. Sometimes estate sales have good items to craft with, better than our thrift stores here in Texas. Just keep stitching!

I source many fabrics buying cheaper items of clothing in charity shops ( thrift shops) here in the UK. So I get buttons, nice fabrics, lace and appliqué after I washed and cut everything up. Makes financial sense. Keep looking, and good luck!

Beautiful colours and flowers 🌸! Like the lady you talked about, I always stitch with a purpose. Not that I need the purpose to stitch, but because my brain is always having ideas and so I always stitch with a project in mind, a pouch, a journal cover, a bag, a sewing kit, etc. The ideas come and I can’t ignore them 😂 A question: do you always stitch with the six strands of the embroidery floss? Hi Kate. Me again with newbie question. When you started stitching the first flower on the new piece, it did not look .Ike you knotted end. Did I miss that, or are you leaving unknotted? Really enjoying your process and listening to your explanations as you go along. Heading to fabric store after thrift shop for threads. Theresa

Hi there - I found this at a Vinnies - it is queen size and will last for so long! Pure merino, and so so cheap. Now I always have my eyes open.....hope this helps. Sincerely, Kate😊❤❤
