Very cool that the tortoises were able to not only survive, but thrive without any intervention. I would say you have a sign there. I was never much of a lizard person, but between living in Orlando and watching your channel…I have become one. Those little Brown Anoles that are everywhere in Central Florida were the highlight of my son’s experience living in Orlando (well that and being 15 minutes from Disney World). Because they are invasive, I didn’t see any harm in taking a few out of the environment as pets. When we left for NY, two came back with us. We would constantly buy out the pinhead supply of crickets at the local Petco. The summer months allowed them more variety with different caterpillars and beetles that they would eat on top of the crickets. I wasn’t worried too much about parasites from food with the selection of invertebrates we had. Both lizards lived a few years before passing. They must have been the same sex as no eggs were ever found. Even the smaller lizards are quite inquisitive. These little anoles would constantly watch my sons play video games in the afternoon. I used to think I’d was the motion on screen, but on days when they didn’t play games. The lizards would exhibit the same behavior, only watching them do their homework. They had their own personalities and were very entertaining to watch around their enclosure. When I return to Orlando in a few years, a lizard may be on the list of scaly pets.

Kenan, Kenan---! These rogue tortoises can mean ONLY ONE THING! Darth Maul has moved up his (or is it her?!?) plans to conquer the Kamp! It will become "Kamp Sith" in the near future if the monitors and their allied turtles (that can't be eaten by them OR the alligators!) don't come together and "deal" with Maul. Meanwhile, you'll always have Krazy Marge on your side... If she doesn't eat your fingers first!
