Katee has a way of making people feel comfortable and drawing them out. Most talk show hosts seem to be competitive with the guest, try to get a bigger laugh or make a better point. Katee sets a comfortable environment for the guest to really be themselves and that’s better for the guests and the audience!

Been there. Done that. Anyone who thinks that staying physically fit & toned ALL THE TIME, getting up at 5 or sometimes 4am, schlepping to location, and holding poses & smiles for hours is fun and glamorous is insane. It was great money while it lasted but dealing with the attitudes and the drama (from agents, directors, photographers, and even other models) was definitely a drag.

But wasn't the traveling alone worth it and didn't you.have ena good amount of.time.off.to.relax and enjoy the scenery snd explore.the places you were in? Thanka for sharing.

@@leif1075 I did photo shoots, fashion shows, and worked some events. When you're on location there's no time off because the shoot is on a budget and a schedule. Even if you get to stay overnight you really can't afford to go out and party because you can't show up the next day hungover and looking like crap. I got to keep some nice clothes and a few other things from *some* of the jobs but I never felt like I was on holiday.

You have to take advantage of golden hour, so set up before sunrise and working at sunset, you have to be able to take advantage of the light.

No offence, but I would completely disagree that staying physically fit and toned all the time is that difficult. Some people simply have genetics on their side. Tricia clearly falls into this category. My wife has had a career modelling and is like this, tall, slim and would struggle to put on any weight at all. Even after three pregnancies, her body has not changed a single bit. Not as much as a stretch mark. People would always assume it took an amount of effort in the gym, and the truth was it really did not.

Most people pay a lot of money to travel alone and wake up not knowing where they are. Sorry, but I don’t feel bad for people earning a lot of money for their beautiful and getting to see the world while they do it.

Well, she's not saying that the job was horrible and that she was miserable; she's just saying that it's not the glamorous, partying lifestyle that people THINK it is. It's actual work.

Sometimes the universe creates something or somebody that statistically shouldn't exist how can everything perfect be in one place at one time. It cannot have been easy for her carrying this burden kudos to her not many would have managed the attention in as composed a fashion as she has.

I get that every profession has its hardships, trials and tribulations, but until I see a construction worker, oil rig worker, or brick layer get on a podcast complaining about their jobs, it's hard for me to empathize with an attractive white woman working in the entertainment industry in a 1st world country about how hard it is. It is still "glamour & party" compared to the true working class who are keeping our infrastructure running so the entertainer class could be in an air-conditioned room while creating content in the internet.
@jrstoelting
@jrstoelting Ай бұрын
It's a different kind of hard. I'm not going to downplay that models have struggles, too. Even if it's not physical, like construction, oil rig, or brick layers. So, I agree with you, but not completely. She's saying it's not all parties, and it's harder than people realize, not that it's as hard as working an oil rig.

Yup, it sounds like a pretty hard work sitting on a plane and sleeping and getting your meals fit to you. And then just having to walk all away to the next plane, and then having to put makeup on and pose sounds horrible. Oh, and I forgot you also get paid a lot a lot of money to do it. That was a choice you made. If your life sucks change it, don't complain

Models should have to do one shift in a coal mine before they get to comment on what constitutes "work".

Ha ha, for real! That's not to say it isn't exhausting to do all that traveling, as well as always having to be "on" and smiling for the camera, whether you feel like it or not. Of course it is. But, yeah, there's no comparison to regular people jobs. And I say this as someone who likes Tricia very much as an actress. I actually think she is highly underrated. It's bizarre to say it, but I think she's one of those cases where being so beautiful is somewhat of a distraction, even for her. She's incredibly gifted as an actress. But people may forget that and only notice her looks. I would love to see her in a more serious role in a major film.

Work is about focus and concentration. There’s no comparison of the much greater physical hazards that mining presents over modeling (or many “regular” jobs), but staying on task to hit whatever your goal is can be challenging in any profession
