"Virtual family with someone who's always awake!" Love that! It's so true! Looks like you snagged a Longerberger (sp?) basket. They are quite collectible. I've ended up with quite a few over the years...

More beauty and awesomeness thank you so much. Happy to hear you're home safe and well too. My hands were kept productive as I listened to you..... I wound my DMC stranded threads to bobbins, a long overdue task now nearing completion. THEN I will be very more busy stitching having those threads organized at last. Dear Kate, I am glad you are home safely and found american treasures. I have been slow stitching and have found for me. I NEED to set a timer. I get lost in time. I have a problem with hand dexterity if I overuse, and I sure know my time limit now. It is fun but may not be doing a lot. Just special ephemera for journals. Glad to hear you again. Theresa

Check the bottom of your new “nest”… it looks like a Longaberger basket 🤔 if it is, it’s USA made & has a cult following here😂 There’s something so tactile about paper & fabric together 🥰. So happy you had a lovely trip home. ( I have 3 rows of hexys left on the last panel❣️ I posted a short video with my 1979 RD needlework book & hexy progress. 🤗)

Kate, I'm pretty sure that is a Longaberger basket. Their headquarters in Ohio is the biggest basket in the world if you want to google it. I love that you are adding fabric to your journals. xo

Glad you're back home. I have thinking about making nests, I have wood bowls from my lovely dad who have since passed, I suppose they would work. Are you able to share where you got your order from

Hi Kristy - I am loving the sound of your bowls - that would be very special to keep your treasures contained in bowls of love. My Dad passed last year, and I have a photo of him smiling on my desk - it keeps me feeling so loved and connected when I make.
