This song hit me hard Yeah things might get shitty but never give up because life is so precious. No one deserves this. It's terrible. Try to cherish every moment you have here because you never know when you could really lose it, and when you lose it there's no turning back to get it again. :(

this song has helped me through a lot and has also destroyed me. my father made a lot of mistakes but i believe has changed a lot and mother was never naive at all that's the difference the only person who helped me through was my sister and now that has changed long story... now im living with my mom and i don't know if i can get through this anymore its just too much i know she loves me but she never shows it sometimes people want to run away and find a solution to their problems their selves but my mom did that for me after she found out about me self-harming myself she put me in counseling my next appointment is coming up and i will have to see a doctor yes i am scared but im hoping this might help me i usually don't like talking to people about my problems but here i am talking to a councler and to this world im the type that likes to keep it all in and sooner or later i explode so if anybody out there is having problems get help it really works write your feelings out take a walk punch something anything just dont do something you will regret i even still think about doing these things to myself but im trying not to but in my opinion listening to music like this has helped me just dont hold everything in until you explode cause it will not turn out well ... trust me i know and i know people go through tougher situations and im sorry just be strong you will live through this!!!

I just wanted to say that this song means so much to me. It's like my life story written in a song, and it's so true to life. It gives me the chills listening to it, honestly because of how much it sounds exactly like my life, and how beautiful katy's voice sounds. If there ever was a song that could make me cry, this would be it. My father has been an alcoholic since before I was born and I'm almost eighteen now. He's been mentally and verbally abusive, and still is. I'm still living the night

This song really hit me My mom would often say mean words to me and even hurt me if I don't follow her, she would even yell at me if I only have ONE mistake in my exams and quizzes, sometimes I feel that I'm not her child, I wish I could just be free. I even think that I'm just her Foster child. When we fight she gets angry at me me for not answering her but when I started to talk, she would pinch me hard and even slap me because I was interrupting her. I was never a mama's girl but I still love her, how I wish she could realized that I have been doing my best at school, that I am not perfect, that I have the privilege to do what I want, and no one can stop me from expressing my thoughts to everyone.

I always love her lyrics and she has that sort of edge or raspy-ness in her voice that you can't really just learn. As always I loved it, and it truly was an amazing song. Takes a concept so many people unfortunately relate to and adds her touch of personal life and personality to it. Keep writing and keep singing!
