Hello Mark. Swift is very sensible. Did you apply EXPO values on your Dual Rates ? I am trying 40% for low and 60% for high on Ailerons, Elevator and Rudder. To read you. Jean-Philippe.

Got my Kavan Swift and maidened it a few days ago. All went well, 5 mins in and on 4th attempt at a good landing, the plane tumbled to the ground landing on its back snapping the rudder clean off. The aileron clevis had pulled out which tumbled the plane. Not enough glue and the foam it was stuck to was slick. The glue they use is more a white silcone sealant. The clevis should really be glued and screwed into the ailerons and elevator. Esp for such large control surfaces and a fast paced plane. Told the hobby shop and they've sent photos of the plane. Kavan got back and said I should've checked the control horns prior to flight and picked up on their QC issue. They also blame a tip stall for the crash and the Aileron control horn came out as a reault..funny how it landed on it back qnd has zero damage on the wings. Btw the rudder control horn pulled out too as the rudder snapped completely off due to it landing on its back. So either way its my fault. Easy to get out of it if ur prepared to never accept theres an issue with the product.

Hello Mark. I totally agree with your disappointment. I've had mine since Nov and haven't flown it yet. This is unworthy of the Kavan brand. I've also read a few testimonials in France from test pilots of T-Shark models (flap servo burnt out after a few flights !) and SWIFT-S1 (3 out of 4 horns glued back on after ground testing of radio settings / control surface rates). Kavan sells their models at a very high price, and the level of finish and build quality is a far cry from the latest Multiplex models with their Heron and Lentus servo connectors. When you buy from Kavan, you have to check EVERYTHING thoroughly before you fly, or risk destroying your model in the first few minutes. FMS is far more serious. Something to think about. And please Kavan, stop selling your customers anything!!!. Your models are splendid, but ruined by a total lack of quality control!

@@JPh35 Kavan sells their models at a very high price? You must be joking right? E-Flite would have literally charged double the price for this model. 449€ for a 2,4m Swift, including motor, ESC and 4 metal gear servos + those exceptionally good decals is a very fair price. Just the electronics alone would cost about 150-180€. Its completely normal that you have to check the important glue points before flight and probably reinforce them with some more glue. I dont know any RC pilot in my area who doesnt do that. This are mass produced foam planes at a good price, what do people expect?

That is very nice skills fly in to much wind how could you do that sir? Do need practice to get it fly like that.

The wind speed was between 10 km/h (6 mph) and 20 km/h (12 mph), which is not too fast. The wind was not turbulent. Therefore, controlling the aircraft was not difficult.

Everything works normally and the glider flies very well. It is a good airplane.
